Random acts of kindness from other guests

I often remember brief encounters with strangers who made our days in the parks a little easier and wondered if anyone else had stories to share. Both my stories are from 2010.

One day when we were waiting to board the monorail at MK, we found out that we were on the wrong platform. A cast member directed us to go straight through the train to reach the platform on the opposite side. A lovely lady with blonde hair and a southern accent was standing in front of us with her family. Having overheard our conversation with the CM, she cleared a path for us and made sure we could be first onto the train and go straight through without fighting a crowd. It was a little thing but so considerate.

Another day at AK, my daughter had a sudden nosebleed. We were all searching our pockets for tissues or napkins when suddenly a young man wearing a backpack materialized, pulled a pack of tissues from the backpack, handed it to my daughter and disappeared without a word. I think we called out "thank you" but I'm not sure he even heard. We're not even entirely sure he was real, LOL!

If those two people are out there, please know that years later your kindness is still remembered by all four of us. You added some pixie dust to our vacation and probably don't even remember it happened.

Any more stories? I'd love to hear them.

We were in the train at MK when my son was 16 months. The family sitting behind us had a boy who was three or four. The parents told us their son wanted to give something to ours and asked if it was okay. We said sure. The boy then handed my son a small stuffed Pooh bear. We smiled and thanked them. My son is eight now, and that Pooh bear sits on his desk in his room.

I'm glad you started this thread because we want to do something like this for another family and we leave for our trip on Saturday.

My story occurred last November on the bus returning from the MK, before the fireworks started. It was just me as I had stayed behind to try to make it to the fireworks. My husband went back to the resort to rest. A little background. I've always wanted to see the MK fireworks, but it has never worked out for me over the years. Now as I am getting older, I was too tired, sore, with some health problems, and once again, I did not see the fireworks.

A young Mom and her 2 teenage daughters were on the bus. At first, they were kind enough to give up a seat for me(I must have really looked rough:). Then we started talking. I mentioned that I had tried to stay for the fireworks but couldn't make it. The Mom and the girls got a cell phone and looked through it, then gave it to me with the explanation that "My sister couldn't make it to WDW and really wanted to see the fireworks at the Mk, so we videoed it all for her. Now you can see all the fireworks that we taped the other night, too". I was stunned that they were so thoughtful. I was able to watch the entire fireworks before we got to our resort.

The kindness of these young people and their Mom was very much appreciated. They didn't have to give a seat or let me watch the fireworks. I still haven't made it to the fireworks, but I will always remember the kindness of this Mom and her daughters to an "older lady" when they didn't have to.

When we arrived in the Animal Kingdom one day between May 14-22nd, 2016, two young teens approached me and my 4 year old daughter and gifted her a purple stuffed turtle. She cuddled it immediately. It was so sweet of them.princess::tinker:

Our kids were given a couple of very nice balloons by two little girls leaving the Wilderness Lodge the day we checked in. They couldn't take them on the plane but we kept them our whole vacation and two or three weeks after. They lasted forever.
