Manny Ramirez hit his 500th homerun tonight at Camden Yard. He is the 24th player from the Major League to have acheived that milestone. Congrats, Manny!

Congratulations to Manny, IMO the best pure hitter in the game.
It's just too bad he couldn't have hit #500 in Fenway in front of the fans. Then again, Camden Yards is usually loaded with Red Sox fans anyway.

It's sad, though they are actually playing okay this year most of the time.

Ah, the glory days of Brooks and Boog and Palmer, etc, etc are long gone...

A couple of brothers from Nahant (an oceanside town north of Boston) got the ball. They said Manny let them 'borrow' the ball tonight, but they're giving it to him tomorrow. The one that caught it was quite gracious, said, "It's not my accomplishment, it's his. I was just lucky enough to get hit by it, and then wrap it up".

VERY refreshing. I'm sure the Red Sox will take care of them.
