Ramblings after a super long trip

I'm curious where you stayed for that long of a trip. The logistics of being there for that many days have my head spinning. (Our trips have never been longer than 4 days.)
We've stayed for longer (couple week) trips at Shades of Green. Longest we've stayed at a WDW owned property was 9 nights (I think that's our shortest trip). Next July, we're doing 2 nights at the Poly, 10 at POR, and maybe 3 more at UO (either that or extend the POR to 13 or 14 nights). But we also don't ever cook on vacation (I can barely get myself to cook at home).

I'm glad that your family could enjoy all those days together @ WDW during the last year.
I am intrigued by your family's eating " clean ". I know that diet is important for body building.

By clean diet, AND not wanting to get " sick " from eating on WDW premises, do you mean an organic, non-GMO diet?!
We stayed onsite (DVC) for 17 days on our last trip(Nov./Dec. 15). Nutrition was a big
concern, because good nutrition turned around my health years ago.
We had organic peanut butter & gluten free bread delivered by Garden Grocer. We couldn't eat organic @ WDW's counter service & table service restaurants, but we were very intentional about everything we did eat.

Every year, it gets more difficult, as food quality diminishes, and more foods become GMO.

I admire your & your wife's dedication to fitness & good nutrition.

Oh, lol--we also enjoy desserts whilst @ WDW. A VERY good reason to indulge in gluten, IMO.

My husband and I eat clean, as in extremely healthy. No fried food. No added sugar, except what's found in fruit. We try to eat organic extra lean beef. Chicken. Fish. Veggies. Whole grains. Clean typically means super healthy. When your body gets used to eating that healthy, and you go off and have fried chicken or a bacon cheeseburger, it can make you physically sick. As in, hopefully there's a bathroom close by. Your body becomes accustomed very quickly to clean healthy food, and reintroducing bad foods doesn't always work out so well. For me, splurging on sugar doesn't bother me, but introduce something fried or super heavy like Italian food, and it's unpleasant.

Not speaking fur the OP, but I'm guessing that's what he means by clean eating and what he means when he says going off it could make them sick.

You are awesome!!
Your wife and children are incredibly fortunate!!

Great post and may you never lose the "magical gift" of excitement and wonderment that Walt gave to us

Makes sense. We try to eat healthy like you & your husband do, though i do have some organic cane sugar added gluten free desserts.
NOW I know why WHEN I get ' sick ' of ALWAYS having lean meats & healthy veggies, & splurge on a Culver's burger & fries,
my stomach will bother me that night, & I may feel off, into the next day.

@ WDW, I avoid foods that could make me feel less than optimal.
SO our dining must ALSO be considered clean,
but it is to PREVENT health problems that would make travel to WDW ( & everyday life) less than joyful.
