I got an e-mail from "Ramada Plaza Resorts", and they were offering a "free" 2 nite stay in Las Vegas, Orlando or somewhere else...I picked Orlando. The fine print says I have to pay a "$ 50 refundable deposit" and the fine print also says "...up to four adults at the Ramada Plaza Resorts O.F.V. or one its affiliated establishments in Orlando." Anyone know of this resort or has anyone taken them up on their "free" offer?

This is one person's opinion, so take that for what it's worth. That said:

I researched RPR after receiving a mail offer similar to which you were emailed. They are, from what I've seen, one of the most dismal outfits ever to push vacations and time shares. They keep tacking on add-on charges, their hotels are sub-par, and there are several heavy-handed time share pitches involved to get many of your "Free" items. You can read much negative press about them, yet when they get you on the phone, they push with might to have you make a decision on the spot because they only offer one call per family, to be fair to the throngs interested in these trips. Anything you have to make a snap decision on isn't worth it.

FYI, I'd suggest going to the following web site:

www.rprsucks.com

I'll be interested to see what other people add here. I've never taken an RPR vacation, but I came close. You'll find that their business practices caused Robin Leech to get his pants sued off and resulted in him getting out of the vacation industry for a while.

Sorry, hpe that helps.
