I currently have a ressie for the ramada maingate for a deluxe king room at 99usd a night with free continental bfast. But i found a good deal on the holiday inn express 105 cdn a night with a full bfast buffet. Which should i choose? I know the hie is a bit further of a walk but it is closer to the convention centre and cheesecake factory but rm is closer to Disneyland and slightly cheaper. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

I haven't stayed at Holiday Inn Express but I have stayed at Ramada Inn Maingate and found it perfectly fine. The room was a bit run-down (paint chipping in the bathroom, small stain on the carpet by the front door) but other than that it was fine. The free breakfast was VERY basic, but I found some stuff to grab. I'm the type of person that would rather have a 2/3 star place that is CLOSE than a 3/4 star place that is farther. Your priorities may vary, however!

Not many people post about the HIE. I'd expect it to be nicer but I'd say even with a limted breakfast you will find the Ramada Maingate to be a better experience. Nice new pool and 6 minutes away, you'll appreciate the short walk.

I'm just thinking that since I LOVE staying at HIE whenever we go to Buffalo and a decent bfast is really a big selling point I should try it out. I will be able to have a light lunch cause of the big bfast. Walking isn't really a big deal I do it all day at work anyways. Just hoping somebody had some info about it since as said above nobody really talks about it.
