We stayed three nights at this hotel last weekend. I had booked directly with the hotel's assistant manager, reserving a deluxe two queen bed room. Using the tripadvisor coupon and a prepaid special, we got a GREAT deal, MUCH less than the rack rate. Only $64.25 per night. I requested a remodeled room in a quiet location on a top floor. I also requested a free rollaway.

At check-in, I was given a choice between two rooms. Katie, the front desk employee, let me see both and then decide. One met all my requests, but it was considerably smaller. Also, the AC wasn't turned on, so the room was sort of stuffy. The other room was on the ground floor, but it was much more spacious. It had a sleeper sofa (instead of a rollaway) and a lot more room. We chose to go with that room, and it turned out to be a great choice. (room 159, in case you want to request it) I'm not sure if it was an upgrade or not, but it was not a premium room with the flat screen tv.

The room itself was very nicely decorated. Everything was clean and well kept. A few little things showed some age, but nothing glaring. Fresh smelling, and everything in good working order. Water pressure was alright, better in the shower than on the sink. Plenty of towels were supplied, and they were fairly good quality. The bed linens were a little bit scratchy, but not hideous. Nothing was stained, frayed, or holey. At check-in, I requested early housekeeping for each day of our stay, and the room was always cleaned when we returned mid-afternoon.

My daughters got in the pool one day. It really is a nice pool area. Loved that it had a zero-depth entry and a very shallow end, perfect for kids. The girls also enjoyed the splash/play area.

The wifi worked fine during our stay. No problems with that.

We got a parking spot right outside our room. The lot didn't seem as cramped as other reviews had indicated. Though the hotel was not full, which may have made a difference. (I had asked at check-in if the hotel was completely booked over the weekend and was told it was not.)

We never had issues with noise, certainly not anything to fuss over. In fact, I though the room was a good bit quieter than the rooms we've stayed in at the Anaheim Marriott.

Also, at check-in I was given a Rainforest Cafe card good for priority seating and a free appetizer of kid's meal with an adult entree purchase. Never used it, but I thought it was nice.

I called to request a late checkout and was given a 2:00 checkout with no problems. Every staff member I spoke to was incredibly friendly and personable.

We only grabbed the complimentary breakfast one morning. My husband went and brought back a tray of donuts, pastries, fruit, hard-boiled eggs and juice. He said cereal was also available. Nothing spectacular, but it was enough to get us going, and all of the food seemed fresh.

The walk to Disneyland was easy. Maybe 5 minutes or so with our two kids and stroller. I found it very convenient. For those of you familiar with the area, the hotel is between the Disneyland pedestrian entrance and the park's original entry, where that other purple with balloon gate is now located. Really an easy walk.

Because of the great deal we got and the extra spacious room we were given, this hotel was a WONDERFUL value for us. Would I pay the rack rate? No. But if you can get a good deal and get the right room, it's great. Overall a great stay!

I posted pictures on my blog. You'll have to scroll down past the pictures of my adorable kids, but there are hotel pics there! Here's the link! I also did a review on tripadvisor, which should be up in a couple days.

Thank-you for the report!

I’m looking to book just one night next month (October 14). The rate I’m seeing on their web site is $129.00!!! Yikes! Any tips on getting this reduced?

Do they charge for parking?

Thanks!

For comparison what was the "rack" rate during your stay?

Parking is free. So is the wifi and the breakfast. No resort fees either.

The rack rate for a deluxe 2 queen room (what we booked) was $121.66, so we got almost half off.

To reduce your rate, use the $10 off per night coupon available at tripadvisor.com. Also, try the hotel's SPECIALS page to see what offers are available during your dates. Book directly through the hotel for the best deals.

Oh, and if you're just staying one night, you might consider a standard room rather than the deluxe or premium. Not as large, but if you're just looking for a place to sleep and shower, why pay for extra space? Some of the standard rooms have been recently renovated as well. Be sure to request one!
