Ramada Inn Oceanfront Resort

Has anyone ever stayed at the Ramada Inn Oceanfront Resort in Satellite Beach (five miles from Coco Beach)? It's right on the ocean and has very good rates. We are coming in a few days before our July 20th Wonder cruise to check out Kennedy Space Center and Islands of Adventure so it seems like a good location and the kids want to stay right by the ocean as we are from land locked New Mexico.

No, I haven't been that far south. The Ramada at Satellite Beach is more than 10 miles beyond the most distant Cocoa Beach hotel I have listed at my web site (www.dcltribute.com/lodging). It's also south of Patrick Air Force Base. Keep in mind that A1A runs through a controlled section of Patrick A.F.B. and that they usually have some degree of traffic restrictions. Commercial vehicles are not permitted. And for weeks following September 11, no traffic was permitted at all (forcing lengthy detours to the mainland).
