Ramada Convention Center

Has anyone stayed at the Ramada at Convention Center (2141 S. Harbor) recently? Switching to this hotel will save us $40, but I have read some not so good things about it on Trip Advisor. So I was hoping to hear some "first hand" reports from my fellow DISers.
