looking for Reviews on Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen. How did you like it??? The food?? what did you and your party get? How was the atmosphere?? Did you sit up stairs or downstairs?? Is one harder to get than the other?? Any tips or things to know before going?? Thanks!

We liked it so much in March that we went back in May. We had to wait almost an hour to be seated in March so we did make PS arrangements (same day) in May.

Without looking at the menu, I can't recall what we had but 6 different things in the two trips, plus kids food.

We sat outside the first time (and saw fireworks) and inside with the piano last time. Both times were great in different ways.

We really enjoyed it when we went twice for the lunch menu. No entertainment but also no wait or crowds at the time. We ate at off times though, 3:00 hour once and sometime between 11 and noon the other time. I had the filet mignon burger which was really yummy, and DH had the pasta jambalaya once and a po-boy the other time. The fries were great! The kids loved their kid meals; I don't even remember what they ordered. The kid meals were a little pricey but came with ice cream sundaes at the end. We tried the profiteroles once which were good but not as tasty as we hoped, probably since they substituted vanilla ice cream without telling us. I would like to try the bread pudding or beignets sometime, but we were too full for dessert last time.

We've eaten there quite a few times, it was one of our favorite DTD places to eat. :) We've eaten there so much that I can't remember what all we've done, let's see, the beef medalions are very very good, I had a salad and the 3 soup sampler but the only soup I really liked a lot was the lobster bisque, I was bummed because I was sure I'd like the gumbo and french onion (I love FO soup!!!) but I really didn't. I wish I had just ordered a big bowl of the lobster/tomato bisque. :) The salad was "just" a dinner size salad (french quarter salad) but it was really good.....we also had our Tgiving dinner there last year and OMG it was sooooooooooooooooooo good!!!!!!!! I wish we could go back this year it was that good. :) I had the blackened chicken sandwich once, YUM! DBF had the oyster po' boy and YUM!! I had the mufletta po' boy once and OMG....YUM! We've also had the roasted chicken rosemary and the black & blue filet mignon. We've never been disappointed with our food there, it's always been amazing. We've always sat upstairs except once for lunch, we were downstairs next to the stage which would have been terrible had anyone been playing, we would have been deaf when we left. LOL But overall it's been amazing, great food, good service, we highly recommend it.

The banana's foster is so much fun for adults .A little pricey ....but the show is great. Nothing like having a tableside flambe. We also had the garlic bread which my dd loved. After we got back to Canada,I emailed the restaurant to see if i could get a cookbook shipped to Canada for the recipe...and the chef emailed me the recipe. It was by far the best food we ate during our 8 days in DLR
