Hey folks, I could use some help planning my trip.

I've got some time off this weekend and early next week, and I really want to take my girlfriend to Disneyland. Sadly, it's President's Day weekend, which I KNOW will be busy.

So, here's the options I'm considering:

Saturday - Possible rain, so maybe not as crowded?
Sunday/Monday - good weather, but crowds will suck.
Tuesday - probably good weather, weekday, so the crowds will be smaller (but by how much?), BUT we would have to leave the park for about 2 hours or so (from about 11 A.M. to about 1 or 2 P.M.) to deal with an unrelated thing that can't be rescheduled. We could probably get lunch during that time.

So, what day do you think will be most likely to let us enjoy the park as much as possible?

Of course, we'll try to be there at opening to get as much time in the park as we can, and make use of the early morning lack of crowds. I'm just not sure how to best get my money's worth out of this crowded weekend.

You're not going to want to deal with the interruption - it's a hassle and a magic-killer! If those are really your only options, I'd say Saturday. The weather is supposed to be rainy and cold, so hopefully that will scare away the locals.

Are you only going for one day? If so, Saturday will have longer hours, not to mention entertainment offerings that Tuesday won't have (as long as there aren't strong winds or heavy, heavy rain). Are you a SoCal resident? If so, the price of a 2-day park hopper is only $10 more than a 1-day hopper! Having more time might alleviate the pressure.

We're used to crowds and like Saturdays in DL. The rain may deter some locals, so that could reduce crowds. Rain or shine though, I expect the parks to be pretty busy because it is a holiday weekend, and, furthermore, many people with families have kids who will be off school for that week.

If it were me and I didn't want to deal with rain and potential crowds, I would opt for the Monday if the weather is more promising. DL is still running on holiday hours, 8 AM - midnight, with basically the full slate of entertainment that is being offered the rest of the weekend. Also, Monday is not an EE day, so there won't be anyone else in the parks ahead of you, so getting there early in the morning and being in line before opening will work more to your advantage.
Finally, those who don't have the next day off work or school are more likely to leave the parks earlier and even use Monday as a travel day, so evening crowds could potentially not be as big as for the weekend.

Welcome, I consider Saturdays a no go day no matter when and I love the rain.

I would avoid the weekends. Although I remember when I was kid it rained one day at Disneyland while my family was there and the crowds dropped instantly. It was actually pretty awesome. That was 15 years ago give or take and I haven't been back when conditions were similar, so I don't know if it would be the same.
