Rainy DHS Day Advice

We've not been to DHS on a rainy day yet and it looks like we will get our chance this trip. So do the tall indoor rides like ToT stop running when there's lightning? And JTA is a priority which I know they don't run in the rain. Right now the forecast is for morning rain clearing up in the afternoon. Will they still have sign ups if it's raining in the morning or do they just cancel for the day? Any other advice? We are put on the ponchos and go with it types (at least until a point).

They will sign up for JT as usual, then as the day goes by they make the decision to cancel or not, by show. I would recommend checking the hourly forecast that morning and signing up for JT when the chance of rain is lowest.
ToT will not close during rain but will during lightning

Still plenty to do in HS, even in the rain. As yulilin3 said, ToT is open unless there is lightning. Most of the other rides also remain open, since they are all indoors.

Love your attitude about it...have poncho, will travel. :thumbsup2 :D We do the same.

Thanks @yulilin3!

We try. The kids will get to the point where they're just done (I think it's mostly the poncho on, poncho off, wash rinse repeat routine that gets to them) but we enjoy the walk on rides until then. Last year during an all day rain at MK, DH's comment was 'this must be what a crowd level 1 day looks like'. :umbrella: Perhaps the only 1 days left at Disney.

Do they cancel Beauty and the Beast and Indy since they're outdoors?

Thanks @yulilin3!

B&B won't get cancelled unless there's lightning or the rain is coming sideways, Indy will operate the B version (no marketplace, no airplane) if it's raining, if it's coming down hard or lightning it will be cancelled
