For about every Disneyworld vacation i can remember, we always get at least one or two rainy days...but i kinda have fun with them, I have a lot of fond memories of rainy days.
There is just something amusing about seeing a SEA of panchos walking around the parks. Last time i went there were about 50% yellow panchos and 50% white panchos so i likened it to baby ducks vs. swans
I prefer Epcot over MK in the case of rain, especially the main store near the entrance. I have a lot of good memories just walking around that main Epcot Futureworld store during terrible rains. Also, its a good time to check out the art gallery. The first time i found that place was during a flash rain storm.
A lot of indoor rides in Disneyworld (both Epcot and MK) have a really "cozy" feeling in the rain too...but of course they are a bit busier in the rain. The rain outside makes Tiki Room seem more realistic during their storm
A lot really depends on whether the day starts off rainy or if it just starts to rain suddenly. If it just starts to rain suddenly, AVOID the shops and restaurants if you can. Cause those get really crowded immediately. Free seating at the
counter restaurants especially make gettting food there difficult. And the shops/stores also get more busy. So if it rains suddenly, and you dont mind being in the rain, go for the rides that have outside lines cause those will be smaller.
If the day starts off rainy, then the parks will be more empty and you can pretty much go anywhere you want except for any outdoor rides that may have shut down cause of the rain.
Also, even though the Tommorowland Transit Authority will be more crowded then usual in the rain, it will STILL be one of the shortest lines in the park and is fun to ride in the rain (or the sun, or with penguins flying around).
So yeah, i usually brave the rain with pancho as my trusty armor. Unless I already have a cold or something that im afraid will get worse, i wont sacrifice a day of Disneyworld for the rain.
