Going to DW in one week:teeth:

Supposed to rain a few days. I know you can do alot in the rain, but are there any certain parks that are 'rain friendly' and you can do almost everything.

Side note: this forum is hurting without a search function.

All parks are pretty "rain friendly", as many areas are under cover for sun as well as rain. We usually head to Epcot if we know it will be pretty rainy all day (including September 14, 2001 during a tropical storm). There are more larger "pavillions" to do more things inside before going out to get to another building. Most of the time however it only rains for a short time, usually in the afternoon, which is very managable. Take your panchos, and take advantage of the ususally lower crowds during the rain. We'll probably doing exactly that next week.

My first visit to WDW we had a tropicalstorm for about 15 minutes, We all hid under the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, It was great.

All rides stay open during rain (I think.)

Disney Quest definitely! It's all inside next door to Pleasure Island and the AMC Movie Theater. It's also included in the price of the Ultimate Park Hopper Passes.

We did Animal Kingdom in the rain last week and it worked out pretty great, too.

Like the others have said- bring your ponchos (Walmart for less than a dollar).....

Don't let the rain spoil your great time

I see a lot about ponchos here...nobody likes umbrellas??

It is so much easier to walk around with ponchos than umbrellas. You can't take umbrellas on the rides and everytime you go to get on a ride you'd have to let in down and hope it is still there when you get off.

We only had two mornings of rain last week. We bought ponchos the first day and did AK (this was handy as we wore them on Kali River Rapids). The next day we headed out without the ponchos, as it was supposed to be nice. Started pouring at Epcot, and - guess what? - we bought ponchos again! We left them all at our room as we have Mickey ones at home (great place for them!).

Point of the story - you can buy ponchos anywhere at Disney as soon as the rain starts!
