Rainforest Cafe

Please help. I've been once to the Rainforest Cafe in Animal Kingdom and loved the theming but haven't even seen the one in Downtown Disney? I'm wondering which one is considered to have the better theming as well as the better food or if it's a toss-up? Thanks for your help. I'll be visiting with my wife and our two daughers, 2 and 9.

We have been to both many times and never really noticed a difference in theming or food... they are both GREAT!!!

While I've only walked through the AK RFC, we LOVE the RFC at DD!! It's usually our 1st night dinner!

If you've never been before, you may want to know that their portions are huge & easily split between two people! (this saves room for a sundae at Ghiradelli's!! )

I will also have to throw in a reminder about the Safari Club...WELL worth it!

Hi there. We were at the AK Rainforest Cafe on 9/18 and had a great meal.

We didn't try the Downtown Disney location, because the CM at AKL concierge said it is the #1 restaurant for amount of complaints she gets from guests. She said she tells her guests to avoid it, if possible.

I figured, coming from someone who is at WDW constantly, the information was pretty reliable. Of course, like all restaurant reviews, this one is pretty much subject to personal opinion.

I just figured that if there are so many people who dislike it enough to complain to the concierge lounge staff, then I'd try one of the many other restaurants instead.

All RFC's are pretty much the same...except the food quality at the disney ones continues to be way better than the RFC's in other cities.
