..is it scary? Lol! My 2 6 year old DDs would be fine I guess, but what about my almost 2 year old DD?

Thanks x

it depends on a kid. My 4 year old was scared a bit at first, but then relaxed. In fact it's not that scary, but it is dark and sometimes you get thunder.

i agree it depends on the kid. it is dark, now and then there are thunder storms and some tables are next to animals that move.

No, my 1yr and 6yr olds loved it last week! I thought it could have been a bit more atmospheric.

Definitely depends on the child, mine were all older when we first ate at a Rainforest but I think my middle one would have been scared of the thunder if we'd gone when she was younger whereas the other two would have probably not been bothered by it.

We went to the one in London recently with DS (5) and DD (2). DD is very sensitive (scared of TV programmes etc), so we asked to be sat away from the main noise making animals. We were sat near to some butterflies and a big tank of fish. We could then go and check out the big animals when she was feeling a bit braver.

The place we were sat was less atmospheric than by the main animals, but it worked well for us.

Perhaps you could do the same if you are concerned?

The only thing that is scary there are the prices compared to what you get.

We had no reservation and got a table immediately. We sat next to a friendly looking elephant which started to move and make noises from time to time, nothing scary.
All the kids were amazed, even by the noise of the thunderstorms that overcomes the seating area 2-3 times an hour.

We stayed there last week and my two daughters loved the atmosphere.

You can go to shop which is directly infront of the restaurant and get a first impression of it.

Try it and if your kids get afraid you could ask for a table which is not infront of the animals.

By the way...the shareholder discount works there too !

:woohoo:

Thanks all! I think she'll probably be okay, we'll sus out the shop first then and see how she is.

Thanks again! X
