I know there are 2 RC at WDW. Has anyone been to both and can you compare? Is the one at DDD basically the same as the one at AK? I want to make ADR's for our trip in Aug. and was thinking of the DDD location (closest to our resort).

I think you can only make an ADR for the RC in AK. Maybe someone else can firm that up!?

You can't make ADRs at the DTD one, no. But it's an amazing restaurant. I LOVE the food and the atmosphere is amazing. Luckily, I live in NJ so I can get to one pretty easily, but if you are from an area that doesn't have one, i'd say you should DEFINITELY eat there.

If you call the RC at DDD direct you can make ADR's. Their number is 407-827-8500. I just called and was able to make ADR's for Aug. BTW: they also said the differences between the two are the AK serves breakfast, has a larger store area and smaller dining area; the DDD location stays open later, does not serve breakfast, has a smaller store and larger dining area.

I have been to 5 or 6 RFC around the country including both at WDW and they are all basically the same as far as theme and quality. The food isn't the greatest but it is well worth the trip there for the themeing alone. Great experience.

I have made reservations at the DTD one for July!!!!

We have been to both of them and they are basically the same. We enjoy the one at AK more because it is less crowded. We have always been able to walk up and not have to wade through people waiting to get in like at DTD.

We have been to both at WDW, DTD for lunch and dinner, the one at AK for lunch. The one at AK is normally less crowded especially for dinner. The food and atmosphere are the same, kids love it! We have also been to the one at Disneyland Paris, located in the Disney Village next to the parks. It is also the same!

I have been to both DTD and AK. They are pretty much the same. If your family likes chocolate be sure to order a Volcano for dessert. Yummy!
