Rainforest Cafe, T-Rex, or Planet H'Wood??

Having never eaten at any of the three options, I'd love recommendations as to which you think has a) the best food, b) the best ambiance, c) best overall value.
OR..... is there somewhere else in DTD we should investigate. I had been looking at Cap'n Jack's, but thought my kids might enjoy these other options a bit more.

We'll be travelling with our twin DSs (11) and our DD (8)

If you like steak the best steak I EVER had was at the Rainforest Cafe but that was at the Mall of America.

If you are on the DDP of these three Planet Hollywood is the only one takes it. I think all three are very similar and you are realy going more for the decor. I think your kids would like T-Rex the most of these three. My DD(16) and I realy enjoyed the food at Wolfgang Pucks more so then Planet Hollywood.

I think T-Rex & RFC are now taking DDP. Regardless, we think the food is a bit better at T-Rex. It's not so much better than I would dine there, if you really prefer the atmosphere at RFC. If you think you will like the inside of T-Rex as much, I'd go there. At either place, you can easily share meals, if you choose. I would easily choose either of these over PH.

Yep, you are right T-Rex and RFC (both locations) are on the DDP for 2012. Thanks for correcting me I was thinking of trying out T-Rex on our next trip.

PH is louder, more drinking adults all over, can get roudy even if not that late. We always feel like you are really smashed in on top of the next table there. That said we've had some really good and not goo food over many trips. My 2DS(13,15) enjoy looking at the stuff all thruout, the music,videos...

T-rex and RFC are very sim to me. I like both. Food and service is equal at both. I would go with one of these if kids are on the younger side.

We are going to T-Rex on our March trip with DD - 11 and DS - 4. I've read lots of great things about it and we are all excited to eat here!

I've eaten at RFC and T-Rex onsite and Planet Hollywood elsewhere. I would never consider Planet Hollywood again. Didn't enjoy it at all. Rainforest Cafe was good and I would go back. But our favourite was T-Rex. We all loved it. We wouldn't hesitate to go back.

I've been to 2 of the 3 in many different states (RC 4+ times PH 3+ times) and while they're "okay," I wouldn't waste my time with any because of all the much better choices in Disney. I'm one of those people that will say go to one closer to home just to say you did it.

In my opinion, food is very mediocre (and that says a lot because I'll basically enjoy almost everything I eat), service can be uncomfortable at RFC and T-Rex (as they're similar) and the noise level is loud (especially the PH in DTD).

Rude service, they act like it's a privilege to get to be there.

T'Rex can be very loud if that's an issue.

T-Rex can indeed be loud, but the food is decent (it's run by the same company as Rainforest Cafe, so they're pretty close), and the dinosaurs are lots of fun. If your kids like dinosaurs (as mine do), it's a great place.

I would recommend the Rainforest Cafe!! Tried T-Rex, liked Rainforest much better. Don't care for Planet Hollywood

I have been to all 3 places, PH was tooooooooo loud, I don'tlike having to scream my order, though the scenery on the ceiling was too cool! Trex was pretty cool, interesting, food was ok, me and hubby went for appetizers, and drinks, figuring it was gonna be cheaper, for one appetizer, was 3 levels,really good, and 1 martini, was 50.00 plus tip!! Though, the scenery was really cool, especially the ice room!! Now Rainforest was my favorite out of all 3!!! I love the animals coming to life, the food tasted better to me:O)

I would say Planet Hollywood we have ate there the past three times and we have always ate there the second year we had a pasta with alfredo and peas and beef it was delicious!

Given the age of your kids, I would say either RFC or TREX. The theming at Planet Hollywood would be sort of lost on your kids.

If your kids love dinosaurs, Trex is pretty cool looking.

My kids have always loved RFC. We started going there when they were about 6 and 8 (they are now 17 and 15) and they have always enjoyed it. Its about the theming and entertainment factor, but we have always enjoyed their food.
