Rainforest Cafe reservations even possible?

Two of my Disneyworld guide books give conflicting info on the following, so I thought I would come to the experts: Can you or can't you make reservations in advance to dine at either Rainforest Cafes? <IMG SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="confused">

PS can be made for the Rain Forest Cafe at Animal Kingdom 120 days prior

I thought I read in the Birnbaum's official book that you can make reservations only 7 days in advance? Did it change, or did I read wrong? <IMG SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="confused">

7 days out sounds like the Fantasmic package to me. RC in the AK as posted earlier is 120 days out. I have one for the 25th of May. I'm not to sure how the one in DD works. I've always just done walk-up everytime we've gone.

Yes! They are possible! I just made our PS for RFC at AK yesterday!! Its 120 days out!

Downtown Disney Rainforest is on a first come first serve basis, they don't take Priority Seatings, Animal Kingdom does, and I made mine for April 18 just a week ago. Go ahead and make the call!

The rainforest at DD does take reservations - they also take them very far in advance. I called in Jan or Feb and got a reservation for or first night in town Nov 17.

Check out the website below - last time we were there in Nov 1999 we joined the Safari Club and just had to present the card at the front of the line. One night when there was a 1 1/2 - 2 hr wait we were seated immediately.

DD RFC does take ressies, but you have to call them direct. Only AK can be made through WDW dining. Not sure of how many days out for either one. Calling tomorrow, will let you know.
