Rainforest Cafe question

Sorry if I missed this, but what is the visual difference between the two restaurants? Do they both have the same interior? I am also getting the idea that the menus are the same, so is it safe to say you can get the same food at both locations?

The floorplan is a little bit different in order to fit the spaces in which they're located... but the menu's pretty much identical (it's a chain, after all) and the overall theme is very similar.

If it were me though, I'd like to have the DTD one remodeled/rebuilt to resemble the one over at Disneyland... :)

Thanks for the input, I think I'll go to the one in AK. I missed the one in DL, what makes it different?

We have eaten at the DTD one several times. We have had good food and good service at both. The prices are a little high but we always have fun, and good drinks, so to us it's worth it.

It looks to be an ancient Mayan temple that has been reclaimed by the rainforest (I'm guessing it's a redress of the old Key West Seafood restaurant which used to stand there). It's a multi-story building with areas open to the floor below. Much of the same thematic elements are there as well, but I just found the multi-floor idea to be cool.

Best image I could find is here.

We ate at AK, the food was adequate at best but I expected that. I chose it because I thought my then 12 year old nephews would love it. Be warned, one of the boys had a really hard time there with all the flashing lights and noise. He spent a good part of the meal in the mens room. We didn't know why he kept going in there and he didn't tell us until later. Since it was all female adults and he said he felt fine we thought there was something interesting in there like a growling gorilla or something! :lmao:

Anyway, I felt awful. So if you have a kid who might be sensitive to flashing lights etc. you may want to avoid it.
