Rainforest Cafe OUTRAGE!

1) Why is your meal ruined?
2) You can still keep the ADR and eat.
This is a common situation (not for me, I like to sleep in). You make a reservation for 8:25 AM when the park opens at 9. Then, Disney changes the park hours to open at 8:00 AM. You are no longer getting in early and are now missing rope drop touring.

Oh Rusty, just recently on the Theme parks board about changing opening from 9 to 8, posters were saying the only reason anyone had a pre-park opening ADR was to get in the park early and now nobody would want a ADR and everyone would be cancelling, LOL, I would bet most early ADR's have nothing to do with getting in early. We had a ADR at 8:15 when we went and they changed the opening to 8 am, know what, didn't ruin our day, didn't ruin the meal, didn't ruin anything. We still had a great time, (maybe it was because we stayed at Fort Wilderness?) LOL :thumbsup2

I completely believe the server told him he couldn't pay cash for the dessert. Where the OP loses me is that I have a REALLY tough time believing a restaurant manager told him he couldn't pay OOP for the dessert. I am wondering if the manager still believed he was trying to order it with two dining credits...

I have yet to eat dessert at the Rainforest either. No room for it!

I have managed to have one or two bites of one (delicious!) because I have a teenage boy. *He* still has room and he lets me try what he gets.

Or he was asking to simply pay the difference.

Sometimes it pays to read the "fine print"--

There was a poster not long ago who said they didn't believe anyone would read all of the fine print. But they continued to complain about various things that they would have been aware of, had they read the fine print.

I don't have an ADR for the Rainforest Cafe during my October trip. But you guys are really making me want to fit one it! And I already have more ADRs than I have dining credits.:P

I know, can you imagine folks like me book ADR to actually eat the meal!? Amazing!

I didn't mean take the dessert to go as some kind of policy or receipt, but more how could they eat a dessert AND a volcano. Since the DDP was paying for the dessert, why not get some cheesecake to go for a midnight snack or breakfast.
Nothing makes anyone eat the dessert that they are forced to order to fit the dining plan.

I was at T. rex with a similar problem last year. 3 of us and 4 needed for the dessert. Luckily, the waitress or manager made an exception for us.
