Rainforest Cafe or Tusker House for lunch

Which one would my daughters enjoy more at the Animal Kingdom??? My daughters are 7 yrs old.

Rainforest Cafe or Tusker House??? Help please..................

we are vegetarians.

Rainforest Cafe is always fun for kids. Great atmosphere, okay food. I'm not sure when your trip is, but Tusker House lunch is not in the system after end of October. Not sure if it'll be continued or changed after that point. Also if you are on the dining plan, Rainforest doesn't accept it.

Also, the service is so slow at Rainforest Cafe, it eats into your day quite a bit. I think they would enjoy Tusker House, but if you're going cs, go to Flametree Barbecue! They give the best value and really good food with lots of seating choices.

That might be true, but keep in mind OP said they are vegetarian. And while I (I'm also a vegetarian) love the fruit plate they offer for vegetarians, it might not be what someone is looking for.

Tusker House is suppose to offer a wonderful selection for vegetarians. If it does become open during that time frame, it seems like that would be your best bet.

Rainforest Cafe does offer a veggie burger on their adult menu doesn't offer one on the kids menu. They do offer..

Macaroni and Cheese - pasta with cheese sauce $6.99

Python Pasta - plateful of pasta served with your choice of Alfredo, butter or marinara sauce $6.99


Castaway Kid's Pizza - Cheese or Pepperoni $6.99

But as a PP pointed out they are not on the dining plan. If you are open to it, I would suggest maybe checking out the menu at Sanaa at the AKL. It seems very vegetarian friendly and you might get lucky and be seated next to one of the windows that overlooks the animals on the savannah. We're actually trying it for dinner after our AK day in September. Boma is also a super place for dinner and the vegetarian selections are very good.

We did lunch at Rainforest Cafe for a late lunch as we were headed out of AK a few weeks ago. We definitely enjoyed our breakfast at Tusker House better, but the kids were thoroughly entertained at Rainforest. We used these coupons to get their kids meals for 99 cents - which was great. It was not the best meal we had but it was fine. They have a very large menu with some typical vegetarian non creative options (salad and pasta).
