My kids really want to go to Rainforest Cafe when we are in Anaheim. We were hoping for a dinner the night we arrive (3/8/2016), but I'm only seeing breakfast and lunch hours. Is that just a fluke, or does RC not serve dinner?

Don't know about CA location, but at WDW they do take res. At both locations if you join the Landry's Select Club for $25 they send you $25 "Welcome Reward" to use on a meal. So it's a wash. The perk to being a member of this club is you do not need a reservation. You can just walk up and because you are a club member you will get the next available table, thus bumping you to the top of the list of walk ups.

They definitely do. Dinner. Just call directly for reservation.

I've been a Landrys club member for years. Definitely worth it (you can use it at any Landrys like Bubba GuMps, Mortons, etc)

At the Anaheim location it will decrease your wait time if you do not have a reservation but you do not get an immediate table. Last time we were there for instants the wait time was an hour and a half and we got a table and 45 minutes.

I just signed up for Landry's Select Club and it states I get a $25 Welcome Reward and $25 Birthday Reward !

How far in advance can you make dining reservations at RainForest Cafe ?

As others have said, RFC at DLR does open for dinner, but they don't take reservations through the Disneyland.com website for dinner. You have to call to make a reservation. If you're going through the Disney system, reservations can be made 60-days in advance.
Online reservations can only be made for breakfast or lunch. To make reservations for dinner, please call (714) 772-0413.

Does anyone know how long you have to use the Welcome Reward and birthday reward? Are they like some others that you have to use within a month?

The birthday reward expires on the 15th of the month after your birthday month. For example, if your birthday was on July 17th, your birthday reward would be good from July 1 to August 15. According to the FAQ, the earned and welcome rewards are good for one year (12 months) from the date issued.

Thanks Figment!! I appreciate you finding the info for me!

We enrolled in the club the first time we went to Rainforest Cafe in DTD and definitely recommend it. Know, however, that you can't apply the $25 birthday credit to your first visit, as we had hoped to do. We ended up using it later that month at a Claimjumper in San Diego.

And if I can just offer an opinion - do try to make a reservation for dinner if at all possible. The walk-up wait can be long-ish, and it is EXTREMELY loud inside the restaurant/gift shop. Hanging around for a prolonged amount of time before you're seated can be really over-stimulating for kids (or some adults after an already hectic day). :wave2:

I am definitely one of those adults you speak of ;) The first (and only) time we went to RF we waited over an hour, and that was with a reservation & Landry's membership. When they finally seated us, it was at terrible table next to the bar, with a view of nothing.

Not even my kids have any desire to go back.

We had reservations when we went to there - and we also are Landry's members and we still waited about half an hour as the place was just a zoo - none of us have any desire to return either.

They for sure serve dinner, but I really suggest making reservations before hand because every time we've tried to do a walk in for dinner at RC it's been a 45+ min wait, especially if you have a 4 or more party for dinner.
Keep in mind the restaurant is loud though and they have flashing lights, we had a good time there, but I know sometimes that's not really what some families are looking for.
