hello all,

We are toying with the idea of having a late lunch/early dinner at Rainforest Cafe while at AK. Are reservations necessary? We are hoping we can walk in if we decide we want to eat there.

Thanks!!

We have walked in without a reservation in the past. May have to wait 10 minutes or so but you should be able to get seated. If nervous about it, keep looking on MDE the day of your visit and make ADR.

Have eaten several times at the AK Rainforest without reservations and did not have to wait very long. You should be ok, especially if early for dinner.

I've gone many times and even with an ADR had to wait a bit. I'm not sure I would try it without an ADR.

Alternatively, you can sign up for the Landry's Select card which puts you at the head of the line whenever you walk up for a table. It costs $25 but you get a $25 credit on your first bill not to mention another $25 during your birthday month (which you can set as the month you generally visit WDW - they won't check). It's good at any of the numerous Landry-owned restaurants nationwide including both Rainforest Cafes, Yak & Yeti and T-Rex at WDW.

We have a Landrys card now so it's easy to get seated but in prior years we've had some really long waits here when we tried to go without an ADR. I'd get one if you can.

I've eaten there more than I'd like to admit - their pours are really heavy, and the nachos are crazy plastic cheese goodness - getting a seat at the bar is absolutely no problem, just walk up, don't even have to mess with the podium, but that has always been for lunch.
