Has anyone done the Rainforest Cafe at the AK for breakfast?

If so, how is it? The menu looks pretty good.

What time does it open?

Do you need PS for breakfast seating?

Opinions? Comments??

Thanks!!!

So many questions. So little time.

When I called to make my breakfast PS for Nov, they didn't open until 8:30 (or at least weren't taking PS's any earlier than that). I was shocked, but then again, you are out there in the middle of nowhere and as soon as you were done eating you'd want to go into AK, so why let you eat at 7 AM and sit around for an hour and a half?

we had breakfast there in May - great eggs benedict and my son loved their french toast - BUT, like lunch time the portions are huge - they also had wonderful fruit smoothies we could not finish

We have eaten breakfast at the Rainforest Cafe a few times (twice at AK at WDW and once at Disneyland) and have thought it very good every time! We will be trying to fit it in again for our trip in Dec. I love the breakfast pizza and DH really enjoys the breakfast with the steak and eggs. The portions are very large, I usually only finish about half of mine.

We had breakfast at Rainforest last trip. The food was good but not as good as the lunch and dinners there. It was absolutely freezing in there the morning we had breakfast there and that took a lot of the fun out of it. It may have just been a fluke. We do like to have breakfast at Tusker House. It isn't a sitdown restaurant but the food is quite good and the pastries are excellent.

We ate breakfast here in Dec. 2002 and had PS for 8:30 a.m. which I believe was the earliest we could make them for. Between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m, there were only about 7 couples eating in here however, bus loads came in by the hundreds (no joke) two entirely different groups and the entire place was completely crowded at 9:30.

I had the waffle (very large and thick) with side order of bacon. My mom had some sort of eggs/bacon and potato dish. We both had a large drink (milk and orange juice). I recall that the meal came to about $30 with tip and we were both full (didn't have lunch until after 2:30 that afternoon). We were finished at about 9:45 and took our time stolling out through the RF shop which has some really cute souvenirs. Although we enjoyed it very much we thought it was overly expensive considering that we could've gone to Shoney's or IHOP for 1/2 of what we spent but we just wanted the experience.

Rainforest Cafe is the best! Great atmosphere and great food! On our Jan. 2003 trip we had PS for 8:30am...i suggest ordering the Tonga Toast! It's great!

We ended up eating there by accident last year. I had not properly consulted my schedule and we ended up at AK an hour early.

Anyway, we decided to go shopping inside RFC and found that they served breakfast. The place was dead, I mean we were the 4th table seated. The food was fantastic! I am hoping to talk my honey in to breakfast there at least once during this trip. We shall see. Mickey
