I am going in late October/early Nov. and plan to use 2 of the rewards, already printed. I only have 2 kids who qualify.

Dh's birthday is in Oct. and I am putting HIS birthday on the card so that we can get that deal as well.

I had a Safari Club membership, but I can't find the dang thing even though I know we used it last year. But if I pay $25 and get a $25 welcome credit, it is fine.

Plus, the old Safari Club had my April birthday on it, so this will be better with Dh's birthday as we typically go in Oct/Nov now. (when we initially got the SC it didn't matter as we were living in SoCal and had DL APs and went all the time.)

For those that have redeemed this. What did you put in the squares? Book names or just check marks?

I went to the dollar store and bought a book of reward stickers and the kids put a sticker in each square every day after reading.

I used the Welcome Reward, Birthday Reward, and two .99 kids meal coupons on 8/14 with no trouble

From both our server and them email I sent before joining the club, unless you log into your online account and defer a reward, all available rewards will be used following the visit in which they were earned. They say you cannot defer a birthday reward, although some report otherwise. Just give your server your card, and all available rewards will be deducted off your total. Your total is calculated before the rewards are entered, and promo prices (such as .99 kids meals) do not change after they are deducted.

Your reward credits are loyalty incentives, not "special offers" or coupons, so there is no reason they cannot be combined.

We were a party of 9, and the automatic gratuity added reflected the pre-reward total, implying that they are used as a form of payment and not a coupon.

We will have the welcome reward, DH's birthday reward, and the .99 kids' meal rewards as well.

I really think with 5 of us, we can get out the door with spending very little our first visit.

We will be going more than once (probably one RF and one TRex) so we could split up some of it if we need to.

My understanding is that they don't send it....it comes up on your regular card as to when your B-day is.

We leave Sunday so I hope this is correct! Dh's b-day is in Oct but the letter said he can use it through Nov. 15th.

It is put on your card at the beginning of your Birthday month and expires the 15th of the following month. If he already has the card it would be added on Nov 1 and expire Dec 15th.

If you have not yet ordered the card I have heard but can not verify that you can put any date you want as the birthday and it is not verified so if he were to get the card and say his birthday is in Dec he would get the birthday reward every year on December 1 to be used by January 15.

Good point. I was just stating what I have seen posted elsewhere. I used my correct birthdate so I didn't relly give it much thought.

And this is why I used my HUSBAND'S birthday, because we typically travel to Disney in the late Fall and his b-day is in October!

I keep waiting to hear that someone finally hasnt been allowed to use these certificates at RFC or TRex... nervous that by the time we travel (December 9th-16th) they will have pulled the plug.

They have been a great way over the last few years, to save a bit of $. We have used them in the past at RFC at AK.

If those travelling this month can report back if there were any problems redeeming the reading rewards $.99 certificates at T-Rex and RFC, it would be a great help!

We used one last week. The server gave us a bit of a hassle using it though and acted like he was giving us the moon to give it to us.

We are now go to Disney in November every year as that is when DH's work sends him down.
