For those who've never seen it the thread title was taken from a song in the Sound of Music about favorite things.

Sooooo, what's your favorite things? Just nice little things that make you feel good.



Some of mine are hot cocoa with marshmellows on a snowy day.
Snuggling next to DH on a cold night under warm flannel sheets.
Reading a good book.
The sound of rain falling and then the fresh outdoorsy smell afterwards.
The expressions on my kids faces when they see something magical for the first time, like the first time they ever saw Mickey or when they saw all the gifts "Santa" left Christmas morning.

These are a few of my favorite things

Long family dinners, with lots of conversation
followed by some sort of games shared by all
Laughter, Good Old Quality Time with the ones I love!

cuddling up with a good book on a rainy day (not that I get to do that with a preschooler and toddler)
morning intimacy with DH (another one I don't get with young kids)
cuddling under a blanket with the kids (see there's something to make up for the things I'm missing)
