Do I need to buy rain coats to take if we go Oct. 6-10th? What kind of clothes do I pack for Oct? We live in Utah so I'm used to sweaters & coats. We are staying at HoJo's so I'm hoping my DD 6 & DS 15 mths can swim.

October is sort a transition time for the weather so it's possible it could be cold or it could be hot. Based on what I remember from the past several years, I'm willing to bet it will be hot or at least warm. It seems like the hot weather usually lasts until the end of October or November. You might need a sweatshirt or light jacket for the evenings unless there is a big heatwave which is very likely. You'll probably have to wait until right before your trip to see what the weather will be like but like I said, I'm guessing it will probably be fairly warm. Have fun planning your trip!

It is usually pretty warm if not HOT until mid/late October. But you may need jackets in the evening. I highly doubt you'll need rain gear since rainy season in CA (if we get rain at all) is usually after Xmas.

I went in October, loved it as it rained!! rained a lot for 3 days and we had very long poncho's and we had the best time ever !

I hope it rains while I'm there in late October lol so that the crowds will die down. Plus I'm from Oregon so I could care less about the rain; won't even need a poncho hehe

We were there last Oct. (7th-11th) and I could not BELIEVE how hot it was. I was expecting mild temperatures, maybe rain. But it was 90+ degrees almost every day. :) Much better than I had anticipated.

Usually if you keep an eye on Accuweather and some other forecasts, you can have an idea sometimes up to 2 or 3 weeks in advance so you can plan accordingly.

October in So Cal can be one of the hottest months. It's usually warm and windy and that's when a lot of fires are also. We went last year Oct. 6-11 and it was 100 degrees one day. The rest of the time it was in the 90's. We didn't plan on swimming and swam every afternoon. I would expect it to very warm...but you never know what you'll get!

we went in early to mid october a few years ago. i was hoping for weather that was mild because we lived in arizona at the time and were ready for some cool weather! LOL, it was so HOT the whole week i couldn't believe it! mid to high 90's every day, and one day it hit 100.

We went in mid-November last year. It was close to 90 every day, the night we arrived the fires started :( You never know what to expect, we've also experienced overcast cool days when we went last year in April. I usually look on the Anaheim website for avarage weather for the days I am planning on, but I also look on the weather channel as it gets closer.

Avg high is 80, avg rain less than .5 inch for the month. But you never know...

We were there last year around the 24-27th or so. It was very warm. I found myself wishing I had packed more pairs of shorts for all of us.
