Can someone tell me about the rain. I live on the west coast and I am hearing it is raining( flooding to be more exact) in Florida. I understand it rains some ( a little each day maybe ) but I am hearing it is raining every day all day. If you have been in the last few days can you tell me what it has been like? We are going in 13 days and I am wondering what it has been like at the parks. Thanks.

The rain that Florida has been experiencing is a little out of the ordinary even for them. However, it looks like it will be back to normal by weeks end. Normal is afternoon thunderstorms where it can rain where you're at or it may not and we are talking within a mile. It can also dump quite a bit of rain in a very short period of time. July/Aug/Sept is the height of the hurricane season so be prepared for any kind of weather.

Know it will rain. How much and when is really up to God. Start praying

It sure can rain in Florida. Actually some of the most intense storms I have ever seen have been at WDW. But they usually do pass quickly and quite often are a godsend as they can clear a park in a hurry and that is not necessarily a bad thing. Then it stops and the lines are quite short. We have had lots of fun in the rain, just go prepared to get a little wet. It is bound to clear up as soon as you buy one of those little yellow rain parkas or an unbrella. Wear 100% cotton so your shorts don't wrap around your legs like mine did once. Not a pleasant feeling. No one cares what you look like there so relax and have at it.

We just got back last night and it rained for most of our six day trip. Since we are from the West Coast we are used to the rain and were not effected by the weather. Someone else posted that the weather can shorten the lines and this is a true fact. The humidity seemed to be higher after it rained but that is about all. We were in WDW last year in June and the storms seemed more intense then, this year was just more of a constant rain. Buy some ponchos, wear sandals, and have fun. We are going back in August so obviously the weather did not ruin our fun.

We just got back from our trip 6-16 to 6-23. Yes it rained quite a bit, but it kept the temp down. It did not affect our trip, we had a fabulous time. There were a few big thunderstorms, but mostly a constant drizzle. That is better than 90 degrees and the sun bearing down on you!!!!
