It shows thunderstorms next week at Disney on the weather channel. Now I know when I have been there before, it did not rain much. What do you all think? This week has been a true nightmare trying to get ready. We are staying at Pop Century and I have never stayed there before...so concerned about that as well...

I am so stressed! My dh has cancer. One grandaughter has strep. My father is staying home with my sister who has not seen him for 6 years and I am paying her big money to do this. I pray she does not leave him alone as he is 87 and can be forgetful. This is the first time I have flown in 20 years as well...we always drive. We are taking 5 children-the grands-2, 3, 3, 4, and 7. Yikes! Any advice about weather-my worst concern and the hotel? Thanks so much. I love reading this board...!

Let's hope the trip is worth the aggravation leading up to it. Since my husband's' leukemia has no cure on earth and he is out of remission again I need a nice vacation for him...I guess I will pray for no rain! And that the hotel is okay...and hope for some advice here!

We live an hour from Disney and it is common to have a high percentage of rain when it starts to get really hot. No worries! Summer showers are usually passing and don't really ruin the whole day. Let's face it....you will all be at Disney together! You will have a GREAT time no matter what the weather:cool1:

Don't start stressing yet! Really! We went one week during a hurricane and the weather showed for all kinds of rain. We went to the parks everyday. Had a few showers, but nothing bad. Don't focus on the weather yet. It's Disney, I'm sure it will be magical:wizard:

If your children are anything like me when I was visiting WDW as a kid, they will not mind the rain. I actually remember having more fun when it rained. So, please, don't stress out over it if your kids don't! It sounds like you have enough on your plate already!

The best park to visit when it's raining is Epcot. Most of the stuff you see there is indoors, so it's quite convenient. The storms and rain shouldn't be too bad like camp4 said and should only be passing. So chin up!

Pop Century is considered the best value hotel you can stay at (probably because it's the newest). I personally think it's the most lively and fun out of all of them! :)

The most important thing to do is be in the right frame of mind once you step foot in Orlando! Leave your worries and stress at home, and it should be a wonderful vacation! :hippie:
