When is it going to stop raining? Send some good thoughts our way. I live south of Nashville, TN and we are into our second day of heavy rain with no sign of it stopping. The rain is coming down harder than I have ever seen. Our house is on high land but many people around here have water in their homes. It seems like a lot of roads, even the interstates, around here are closed due to high water. We went out yesterday afternoon and had to take four or five detours to make it back to our house. (We didn't know how bad it was when we started out because, once more, Comcast cable is not working. Honestly, they are the worst excuse for a company. The electricity and phones have worked with no problem. Why can't Comcast deliver service worth paying for?)

That rain was predicted for Huntsville, too, but so far we haven't had a drop. The storm is just staying in the same place and raining and raining and raining!

I'm in LaVergne. It's not so bad here today...yet... but it's very early in the day. This is horrible :sad2:
I work at Vandy and have no idea how I'm supposed to get there tomorrow. Not sure how Murfreesboro Rd. is looking but I know I won't be going I-24

Stay safe!!

I live East of 'Boro.. It is actually sunny here today--we are missing the rain.. I do pray for those in Smyrna, Lavergne and Nash! Unbelievable the amount of rain they have gotten in the last 24hrs!!!!

I24 must be a disaster. That video of the school building floating down the interstate was amazing. I am hearing that I65 is closed at Armory Dr and Franklin Road north of Cool Springs is closed due to a hill side giving way.

Smyrna here, my apt complex isn't flooded but we refuse to venture out. The quarry behind the apt looks like a lake.

My husband works at Vandy too!! It is a mess. It has flooded the ER and Children's Hospital. I might not see him again tonight. Please be careful.

It is a MESS! My sister lost her car at Cool Springs Galleria yesterday - they expect it to be totaled. When they left it - water was up to the door handle. I am so glad we live on the top of a very big hill. And hang on for the next round...

Howdy Neighbor! Literally... we must be at the same complex. I can see the quarry out our back windows.

We made it to Antioch this morning to check on my inlaws and are staying put. This is insane! The pictures coming thru the TV are unbelievable. I hope everyone stays safe.

My mom is suppose to be coming home from Detroit tonight and I don't know how we are going to get her home from the airport. I know she doesn't want to hear it, but I almost wish they will cancel her flight.

Ha that's funny, we have to go out to the back of our building to see it but it's right behind us.

Glad you're safe!

I'm hearing a lot of flights are canceled coming into BNA, so double check.

What's even worse if there's a concert tonight in Nashville and it's not been canceled. :scared1:

Are you talking about the Jimmy Buffett concert? Ya know I thought that was crazy. The mayor is on TV telling every one to stay home and then the chief comes on and says they are not cancelling the concert because downtown Nashville is dry. Well its not dry anymore!

Nope Goo Goo Dolls is tonight. The complex driving area is flooding now, especially by a set of speedbumps.

We have an inch of water in our basement that NEVER EVER floods. The carpet and drywall are ruined. We don't have flood insurance because you literaly have to drive up hill a mile to get to my house. We have lived in this house for 10 years and have never taken on water. As bad as we are here it could always be worse. My work is flooded in west Nashville. I have no idea if I even have work tomorrow. My son is a member of the national guard and is patiently waiting on the call. Wish us luck

Good luck and prayers. This is nuts. That's about the only words to even describe it.

Oh Jeeze... Well we are up on the 3rd floor. I guess that is the only thing to be greatful to live on 3rd floor for. We came over to the inlaws as a "just in case" the tornados came again today. I did not want to be stuck on the 3rd floor during a tornado with DD.

This just in.... there is looting going on downtown at Farmers Market... just saw it on the news!:scared1: Shame... :sad1:

DH is a volunteer for Davidson Co Rescue Squad. We have been waiting for the phone call all day but nothing... You would think they would all be calling in every resource they have right now:confused3

Jimmy Buffett was last night. I think tonight may be the Goo Goo Dolls. Nashville has declared a state of emergency and I think that means that no one is allowed on the roads.

This is crazy. My area has had over 16 inches of water since Friday night. I don't think that we have ever had this much water fall at one time. This is going to break the record set back in 1979.

Well goo goo dolls postponed till tomorrow.

Piglets Mommy, it's not bad bad, it's a few inches but it's not getting on the balconies at least by where I am.
