I am so there. It is late. We just got home. Mom in law's surprise birthday was fantastic. She was so surprised. Lots of people there. Dad came too and stayed the whole time. We got pix of everyone with them. Wonderful.

Lucky Ashton, luckier Danny? I know what happens to you when you drink. I hope it was good.

Hi Ginny,

I'm glad to hear that the party turned out great! I looked at Austin's pictures. I think my favorite ones are those where he is leaning up against the beat up old truck.

Have a great rest of the day,

Lisa

I'm so happy your Dad was able to stay and enjoy the entire party. and even happier that you were able to get pix w/everyone, wonderful memories.

Danny enjoyed Don's work (I figured he would), I on the other hand am really alot like you in that department. (It had a good taste), Danny, Gwendolyn, & Joe finished the entire bottle last night. I enjoyed my glass. So, needless to say I had a very peaceful night!

I pm'd you my choice's on Austin's pics; tough job!:thumbsup2

Thank all of you girls for your imput. We have to make a decision by next weekend. I see $'s leaving my pocketbook.

I am glad you had a glass. I would quit at a sip. It makes me unconcious.

I have had such a quiet peaceful day. We all went to breakfast at 9 and Sandi and Alex left from there. Don and I headed to the store and got groceries. Came home and took a nap in the chair. Finally by 3 I was awake and ready to decide on dinner. I ended up with pork chops and scalloped potatoes. Even made a peach pie. Sheri and group came for dinner but have to be home by 7 cause Aust has to do his Pilage and Purge on Warlock. His team gets together on Sunday and Monday at seven to do their duty. Silly boys.

I am posting some random pix of this past weekend.

On Saturday we had my mother-in-law's 80th birthday party. It was a surprise and she was. She and father-in-law were there and really enjoyed the party. There were about 80 people there throughout the day.

And mom and dad.

I talked to her earlier today and she said they were really tired but had a great time. And that made everything worthwhile.

Now some Friday night football. They lost 48-14. We decided they need to play a half at home before they actually play. By the 4th quarter they are warmed up and ready to play but they are so behind by then they can't catch up. I have decided I need to talk to the coach. :rotfl:

This pic is of Josh who got hurt last week. He has to have another MRI this week then they will decide what surgery to do. And Brock #55. Both of these boys went to the baseball game with us this summer. Brock just twisted his ankle. He'll be fine.

Everyone who knows me knows how proud I am of all my grandchildren. I think they are about the best kids in the world. Sandi and Sheri bought me a frame this weekend that says 'grandchildren make you smile' and they recorded the boys saying 'love you'. It's great and I can hear each voice. Here is the pic they put in it.

I am one happy grandma.

Great photos, Ginny! That frame was a very thoughtful gift & I really like the photo you put into it.
Thank you so much for all of your kind words this past week. :goodvibes

So glad the party was a sucess! I'm sure it was so nice being with everyone and getting so many great pictures. Like Connie said, wonderful memories! :goodvibes

I couldn't help but LOL at your statement to Connie about how we know what happens when she drinks. :rotfl: That stuff knocks me out, too, so fat chance of something happening when I drink.

Apparantly, I missed a lot on Friday. We were slammed in the afternoon, so I couldn't get on. I wanted to comment on the sanitary office conditions. I've been doing that here, too. I keep a hospital strength disinfectant spray here, Lysol wipes, hand sanitizers, the works. After every customer, I wipe down the application table and my counter, the pens, my phone, my mouse, my keyboard, EVERYTHING. I'm paranoid, yes. I don't want any bugs!

Great pictures! thanks for sharing...;)

have a great day today!
Ashton says hi!

As you can see Don takes way better action photos than I do. Austin took the ones at grandma's party. Donna and I were serving food and looked up and there were 4 granddaughters there so I put them all to work so we could visit. Of course they obliged. I got them scared don't I? They enjoyed themselves and grandma commented on how sweet the girls were to do that. Brownie points for me.

I hope your week goes better. Yes, you must go. What happens, happens and you can't control what other people do. Have fun. It was really sweet of my girls to do that.

We missed you on Friday and over the weekend. Glad you had a nothing one. I'm hoping for that this weekend.

One can never be too careful with all the stuff going around for sure.

Mornin' Ginny,

The surprise party pictures are great. I know you tuckered them out but you know that they had a wonderful time.

You should be a proud grandmother! You've got a great set of grandbabies.....sorry.....grandkids. The boys probably wouldn't take too kindly of me calling them babies.:rotfl:

Hope you have a great day,

Lisa

They'll ALWAYS be babies in our eyes, LIsa. But you're right, we just have to keep that to ourselves!

We did tucker them out but it was a good tucker. I was so happy that grandpa stayed for the whole time. Mom said he got home and sat in his chair for about 20 minutes then went to bed. He goes to bed about 5 every nite and is up at 3. His sleep schedule stinks.

I call them my grandbabies too. Everytime I look at Austin I see this picture I have of him around 2 and he looks just the same. All of the boys on my side of the family have those heavy cheeks. His eyes are hazel like Don's and Sheri's. Sheri went to school 12 years with his birth father. He used to ride his bike to our house in grade school and I would tell her to stay away from that boy. He has bedroom eyes. That is really the only feature Aust has of his. As he gets older I see more of his father in him but not enough that that is all I see. He's just Austin.

That Andrew is sure no baby anymore. He was barely 3 when Sheri and Mike married so he was my baby for a long time. He is such a sweet boy too.

And Alex, well, he is just Alex. It amazes me how much Andrew and Alex do the same things. When he was very small he worshiped Aust but now that he is older he plays with Andrew really well. They do video games together. He loves Legos and comes to Aust for those. Austin still has a lego collection of things he built as a young boy. They take up lots of space.

What amazes me is how much Austin and Andrew look alike. I was amazed looking at them so close together in the Disney picture, Amazing.

I have always said that too. Andrew has his Dad's blue eyes, Aust has his mom's hazel eyes. And then Alex fits right in there and he has no relationship anywhere. I love it they all go together so well.

Austin only has me as a grandma. Mike's parents live in Texas. He loves them and they treat him well but they are involved with the families that live in Texas. And they are old. His dad is 82 and mom is 79. Andrew has those grandparents and his mother's mother lives close to here but she won't speak to him because he won't go visit his mom. (stupid) And my mom, well we all know what kind of grandma she is. Don's mom is great with all the kids. Like she says they were babies when Andrew came into Sheri's life and oh my gosh does he love her. She used to come and babysit Aust when he was little. So pretty much it is me and Grandma P. for those kids. Alex only has me too. Tim's mom passed away before Alex was born. Tim's dad remarried but Alex calls her Aunt _.

You can move here and I would be Mitchell's grandma in a heartbeat. Be sure to give him extra hugs from me today.

I've said it before, but it amazes me how all of the grandchildren just look like they were blood relatives to you guys. But you know, HE put them right where they belonged, so it shouldn't be surprising at all at how well they blend! :cloud9:

I think it's wonderful that they do have such a great grandmother in you and in Don's mother. It is a relationship that they will always treasure and the only ones missing out is the grandparents who shun their grandchildren. Why would you do that??? THere should be no excuse for it. Ever.

I would LET you be Mitchell's grandmother in a heartbeat! I have no doubts that he'd be smothered in kisses in about two seconds and spoiled rotten quicker than that! (And I'd love it!)

Thank you Mel. I so feel the same way. HE put me here for a reason and I am going to take full advantage.

I feel so blessed to have them in my life that I can't imagine it any other way. It still breaks my heart about Andrea. I'm sure she says bad things about us but that is something she will have to deal with. Some people don't learn until it is too late and by that point no one else cares what they think anyway.

I would smother him and spoil him rotten for sure. I do know when to stop with the kisses tho. Alex is so funny. He doesn't kiss on the lips. Never has. I remember the first time he did with me and I felt so great. He still does with me and Sheri but no one else except mom and dad. Silly boy.

It breaks my heart that she doesn't know how wonderful you are and what a blessing you'd be in her life! I hope she doesn't figure it out too late.

I know you'd enjoy spoiling my boy, and guaranteed he'd love on you. Mitchell is a hugger AND a kisser. He kisses me and DH on the lips (boy I dread the day when he stops), and my neighbor (who's adopted him as a surrogate grandbaby) will kiss him on the lips sometimes too. It bothered me the first time she did it, but I've gotten used to it! ;)

I know what you mean about how good it feels when they love on you. Those innocent little lips pressed up against mine. Oh, I'll miss the days when they are gone.

Aust and Andrew have always kissed me on the lips. Andrea too for that matter. I would miss it if they didn't. There is nothing wrong with it at any age.

I would take Andrea back in my life under any circumstance. I told Sheri and Mike that she couldl stay with us if it would help and they both said she doesn't deserve to have us until she is done fighting with everyone. Sheri and I will still be here for her when she is ready. I know one of these years she will get tired of living that life at her mom's.

I could use a little boy kiss about now. :love2:
