Rain suit?

We have traveled to WDW the last few Septembers and it's always rainy. Sometimes it's the quick afternoon shower but at least 1 day each trip has been solid rain all day. I was thinking of getting a Frogg Toggs rainsuit for ds and I since the ponchos are not helpful for those days. Can we keep these on during attractions or would we need to remove them each time like you have to with ponchos?

CMs may ask you to remove it to keep the seats from getting drenched. But I think you would completely swelter in one of those, especially in September. It might work for January/February?March, but I would really hesitate to wear one of those any other time in Orlando.

I agree that you would be way too hot if you wore a full body rain suit. When you say that the ponchos are not helpful, is that referring to the thin or short ones? You can find much thicker ponchos in the sporting good section of many stores like walmart (or I assume at a sporting goods store). And you can get longer ones too if you need more coverage. We have a couple of nice thick ponchos that we've been using for I guess about 10 years now.

Those rain suits are miserably hot. Personally, I would rather be soaked with rain than be sweltering in a bag of my own sweat, but that's just me.

The one I was looking at says it's breathable? A longer poncho might work. We have the disney ones we've used the last few yrs but my legs get wet and they blow all over the place.

Trust me, they're not breathable enough in hot and humid weather.

There is no way that would be comfortable in September, breathable or not. DH and I have super fancy breathable, vented, waterproof running jackets that we will bring, but even those can get miserably warm at times. I prefer to just put on a baseball cap and go with the flow.

Ugh. Those things are so hot. Just get a long poncho and a compact umbrella. Bring dry socks and possibly some backup shoes.

Your best bet would be quick drying clothes. Look for tennis or running wear. It dries fast, and is not hot.

When it's hot, we just get soaked, and keep doing things. Sometimes we get ponchos, but usually we plow through the rain. This past trip, two weeks ago, my niece went around MK stomping in puddles singing "I'm Singing in the Rain" at the top of her lungs We stayed all day, wet as can be, got cold in some AC, went back out in the heat and rain, etc. Stayed until after the fireworks, still damp on the way back to the resort, took hot showers, got into dry jammies, and went to bed

I usually bring a nicer quality poncho that lasts. This last trip I used it 4/5 days and it's still works. Tbh the Most bothersome thing about rain are the wet shoes and socks. It irritates me so much.

I have, on Spaceship Earth, for one. Now closed, Ellen's Energy Adventure, for another (but I wouldn't want to wear one that long anyway!)

We were asked to remove ours on the Frozen ride in June.

Hubby and I take Columbia rain jackets, and I got rain jackets from Walmart for the kiddos. We've never been asked to remove those.

Why not just a light waterproof jacket and pants? You won't have to remove it either.

Glad to read a couple people saying they just go without a poncho/jacket. We may go next august and that is our thought. I think I'd rather be wet than have a poncho on in that humidity. We will take plenty of clothes (we also wash while there) and an extra pair of shoes.
