Rain, Rain Go Away

Wow what a weekend, over 4 inches of rain and now we have heavy rain again. The people a bit North of us have over 10 inches and we are all in flood warnings. Sun please

I'm going to scream if I don't see the sun soon. The sixth straight day of rain, are you kidding me?

This storm is going to cost me thousands of dollars. My entire driveway washed out and now I need to replace it. It was dirt, but, it's NH and there are a lot of dirt driveways. We maintained it - had it graded every year. All of that, down the crapper. Any idea how much it will cost to asphalt an 8x400 ft driveway that needs a new culvert?? Oh, don't tell me....it's just too depressing.

Thankfully, my SUV can get me home, but if I drove a lower car, I'd be parking up at the police station and walking home - in the rain.

At least it happened now instead of when it's July and 90 degrees.....this is better tarring weather, I suppose.

Sun? I think we have to fly somewhere to see the sun... it's supposed to rain through Wednesday.... What a lousy, cold Spring this has been...

AllyAndJack, I feel your pain, we asphalted our driveway, it was over seven grand... The driveway is at least 200 feet, 18 feet wide... we've easily accomodated an 18 wheeler here before Then, there is a long stretch of 4 foot asphalt that goes another 80 feet... so, if you're using that as a marker for your 400 ft x 8ft driveway, it should be less than seven grand.... that was a hard check to write!

I told DH I need to go somewhere so that I can see the sun shining.

We don't expect to see the sun until bit on Thursday.
