I'm going to WDW and the gulf coast 10/5-10/12. The weather forcast is horrible! How about if all of us travelling at that time perform some kind on ritual anti-rain dance (live chickens do *not* have to be sacrificed) to put the "sunshine" back in the Sunshine State!!

:smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth:

desperate times call for desperate measures. get the chicken.

While you are at it, can you de-hex the northeast, as well? We have had 2, maybe 3 weekends w/o rain since April here in the Philadelphia area. We got flooded out right before Isabel, and they are calling for showers sometime this weeknd - again! Ugh!
This does not bod well for winter either! Solution - trip to WDW!

Oh yeah, I'm going in 24 days. Hopefully, your de-hex will last that long? :p ::yes:: please?!

I know what you're saying, doombuggy! It's pouring right now in Rochester. But I'll be on a plane to WDW in a mere 4 hours! My only request is a couple of good "pool" days.

for you (and selfishly for me when we go in Dec.).

But let's just say for sake of argument that we have a bad day or two of weather. How can we make lemonade out of lemons?
Here's a start:
-enjoy the atmosphere of the World
-find as many indoor things to do as possible
-put on a poncho, put everything in ziplocks and have fun anyway
-go on all the wet rides you want!
-keep a good attitude!

You guys can send all the rain you want this way! We haven't had much rain at all here and many fires around. Going into a drought winter they say here in Mt....

Rain, rain come our way....

dancing the anti-rain dance now LOL....

We were at Disney on Sept 27th- Oct. 5th. According to the weather forcast while we were there, we should have had rain everyday. Over 3 inches and flooding. It never happened. We had some slight sprinkles. Never broke out the ponchos or umbrellas. Don't get down. Weather casters aren't always right.

Remember the line from the movie The Crow? It can't rain all the time.

It's true. I've been there when it downpurs for about an hour and then the rain stops , and then it rains again. Most of the rides are under cover. And another great thing when it pours at WDW??? The parks empty out. This happened once a few years ago when I went with my friend and we literally walked onto every ride.

It was awesome!!

Well, the forecast was "alll wet"! We had one rainy evening, but other than that, mostly sunny and hot days. Had a great time - highlights were Mickey's Philharmagic (saw it twice - daughter loved it) and getting Sleeping Beauty's autograph!

Went to the gulf coast 10/9-10/11. One overcast day, so we went to an aquarium. Other beach days were hot and primarily sunny.

See compete trip report on the trip reports board!

We buy some ponchos and suck it up! That's what we did on Thanksgiving Day a few years back...we figured one can only get SO wet. We practically WALKED onto every ride. The locals were celebrating the holiday with their families and the tourists didn't want to waste their tix on rain days. So we braved the cold temps and had a GREAT time.
