Rain poncho question?

I was wondering what do most people do with there wet ponchos in the park when you take them off, I have had a stroller the last few trips and I don't remember what I used to do prior to this. I will be alone and only have a small bag. Also where is a good spot to but a poncho prior to wdw, I like the wdw ponchos because of the material, I have had some cheper ones and the clingy plastic was not for me, any suggestion for a reasonable pre trip place to buy them. How much are the WDW ponchos? Thanks for the info!!!

We have a toddler in a stroller, and we put one poncho over the stroller and wear other ones. When it rains at WDW it is usually Biblical rain. We try to take a break underneath something (overhang, indoor ride, food area) and wait until it is more manageable. Then we continue with ponchos on. When it stops raining we fold up the wet ponchos and put them all in a plastic bag (like a small trash bag or plastic grocery store bag.)

You can get ponchos at Wal-Mart or any store like that. If at WDW, they have them everywhere, just ask. I think the WDW are $5-$10 each.

I get our ponchos at the dollar store...so I get a bunch. Carry 2 with me each day and throw them away.

I know you said you don't like the clingy cheap plastic ones, but I found those work out best in the parks since when you buy them the are folded extremly small so you can pack 1 or 2 in your small bag and at the first sign of rain you can whip it out fairly quickly and put it on until you can get under a real shelter to wait it out, then trash it once the rain stops. If you want something a little more high quality than the $1 ones they sell in the camping section at Walmart, i suggest looking near the umbrellas/purses. I noticed they had a decent selection of them the other day. If you do buy one of the park ones and don't have a bigger bag (like a backpack) that you can stuff it in after you refold it, you could always get a locker I suppose.

Walmart has the disposable ones for $.88 each. We stock up on 2 for each person for our trip (as well as for the stroller) and just toss a gallon sized resealable bag in my backpack to toss the wet ponchos in (they smush up really small). At the end of the day we hang them up to dry and we are good to reuse them as necessary!

Just be careful with the cheap ones. I thought I was so smart with mine. Just prior to getting onto the raft for Kali River Rapids I took mine out of its bag only to stick my arm straight through the side. By the end of the ride I looked like I had been hauled along behind the raft, not in it, despite having a poncho on
