Hi DISers,

I'm coordinating a reunion group of about 20. We have lunch reservations for Be Our Guest, and we plan to meet at Gaston's statue a half hour before our earliest reservation. It seems like an easy place for families to find, and for little kids to be entertained/play/walk about. However, in the event of rain, it's not clear to me where our group should meet.

Is there a sizeable enough lobby in Be Our Guest to shelter a group of 20? Are folks allowed to congregate in Gaston's pub not taking up tables, just wait inside? Other ideas?

Thanks very much for your time and assistance. :thanks:

PS. I know it's open seating, and have prepped our group to manage expectation around the order-line and open seating arrangements. We cannot order in advance because we have a mixture of cash payment, dining plan payment and room charges for our two reservations of 10.

There really isn't a covered place for 20 people to hang out in the event of rain. I can't see them allowing you to hang out in the tavern. It's not that big to begin with and 20 people would definitely make it crowded. And even in the case of rain they won't let you into the castle without waiting in line first. Without preordering you are pretty much guaranteed some amount of time outside before the line goes indoors.

Just make sure everyone has ponchos and meet as originally planned.

You don't pay until you get there, so you can still pre-order. They will divide it up for you.

Also, you won't even be allowed into the lobby of BOG until your entire party is there and you have checked in for your ADR at the little hut outside.

I idn't think you can pre-order, then pay separately when you get there.

That's the info I received; each reservation would be one bill. I have two reservations, each of which includes three families. I could take care of our guests that want to give me cash, but I can't help the families that want to use their dining plan credit or room charge priveleges. If y'all have any experience pre-ordering with a mixture of payment types, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks for the info about the lack of covered space. I'll warn the group to have a poncho when I send around the "what to consider packing" list reminder.

It's confirmed....you cannot pay separately when you pre-order. You get the following message before you pre-order on the website.....

Please note we are unable to split checks for orders placed online.

Sorry about the mis-information. I guess I was thinking about the fact that you could choose how you pay (MB, cash, gift card, etc) and was confusing that with splitting a check. Sorry.
