.....and remember...this is a three month or longer event. Don't get the idea that once it happens , its over and won't return. and everyone should be dry because all the kind folks here have been telling 2016 visitors that this wet rain was coming and $1.00 ponchos was not going to do the trick for these events
Is DCA still dead? At Disneyland right now and its starting to get packed. Might head over to DCA.It is as dead as I've seen it here in years. If you have the proper gear, it's not bad at all. We have been at DCA all morning and it's been a lot of fun. We rode toy Story 6 times after rope drop.
A lot of people who are visitors to DLR live in places that receive a lot more precipitation than Southern California - I'd say it might be the drought stricken state that may be shocked with as much rain as is coming - although I certainly hope this helps resolve some of the issues brought on by the drought. Most people should already own sufficient rain wear and that stuff is easily packed - we were there when it rained for a few days and it did not stop our fun - being prepared is the key and once you are prepared then you can relax. However this issue with the BBQ is unfortunate - as it really is one of those things you need fair weather to enjoy.
Is it worth getting waterproof pants? Both dh and I have waterproof jackets but not pants. We arrive on the 9th and so far that is the only day showing rain for us.

Thanks. I wondered if the top would be enough but it sounds like it won't. I am going to order some from amazon. If you know it's going to rain a lot it is 100% worth it. Without rain pants today we would have been miserable.
So we have a Feb trip, rain or shine. We don't have rain gear really, aside from a jacket or two. Are there recommendations for decent ponchos (not $1 ones) for adults and kids? We're also staying in GCH so we have a fast path "home" in the event of a needed change of clothes (though no suite this time, so no in-room dryer unfortunately)
The hojo cam doesn't look like it's raining but it is cloudySo how about today 1/6? Weather online says heavy Thunderstorms? Anyone at the park today?
Because we don't get enough rain. Seriously? Let's all hope we continue to get periodic rain for as long as possible to ease the drought, despite the minor inconvenience to people choosing to visit a theme park.I just checked Hojo's Mattercam, and it looks miserable. I hope the rain doesn't last long for those who are there right now. I know that we need the rain, but apparently rain in SoCal doesn't really help the drought situation that much.
Stay dry everyone and hope you all still have fun!!
