Rain Forest Cafe or Boma?

We are trying to decide if we should tryto get PS for our day in the Animal Kingdom at Rain Forest Cafe or Boma. We like the atmosphere in the Rain Forest Cafe, but would like to know from someone who has been to both, which you liked better and why?

I have been to both and I would select Boma. I love going to the AKL(staying there in Jan.!)and I thought the buffet @ Boma was fabulous. There was plenty for everyone, even my 5yo niece. I enjoy the fun atmosphere @ Rainforest Cafe, and it is convenient being in the park, but the last couple of times we have been there(all during the off season and the restaurant was not busy on any of the occasions we were there)the service has been so horrible, that I simply won't bother to go there again. Boma on the other hand, service is excellent and I love that there is always someone working behind the buffet eager to talk to you about the food you are unsure of. So many wonderful foods to try...I can't wait to go back in January. It has become my family's favorite restaurant. Hope this helps a little.

BOMA hands down. RFC doesn't even register as a restaurant in my book - more like an attraction with horrible, overpiced food. Boma on the otherhand is delicious and is fairly priced with a staff that is willing to please.

Boma. It's amazing!! The food, the atmosphere, and no freaky animals or thunderstorms. I ate there while staying in the AKL back in feburary.... I just loved walking by it on a daily basis, and expiriencing the smells of the foods.

We've tried Boma once and were not very impressed. However, the RFC is our 1st night dinner every visit! We love the theming, and we've always enjoyed everything we've ordered there! Some may love it or hate it, but we've had great luck eating there and the Safari Card has been well worth it!

We only have 19 days left and we are getting very excited!

We enjoy both for different reasons. DS loves to eat at RFC for the atmosphere and dinosaur chicken nuggets. DH and I love Boma for the food and love to visit the AKL. We will probably do both this year. If I could only do 1, I would select Boma.

RFC is a nice restaurant, and my kids really like it, but it's not a Disney restaurant, so it doesn't make our Disney trip plans. RFC is a franchise and we have one in one of our local malls. We eat there when we're Christmas shopping, but not when we're at Disney. Boma on the other hand is a unique Disney experience with something for everyone, great service, and a great atmosphere. Nothing against RFC, but I'd definitely pick Boma to round out your day at AKL. Unless of course you'd rather eat at Jiko.

Definitely BOMA's! the food is AWESOME and plenty of selections! And the disney experience is a BIG huge plus! plus,if anyone in your group has any special dietary needs let the CM know this when you call for your PS and they'll take good care of you. if you ever get the chance, try Jiko as well. Mmmmmmmmmm! mouth is watering just thinking about it. seems like we just got home from AKL yesterday. is it time to go back yet???????

Boma hands down. Tried RFC numerous times. Service is poor to fair. Boma is always a highlight for my family.

I've done both...I would choose RainForest Cafe. The only reason I would say to think about Boma is that it's a Disney restaurant and if you live close to a RFC then you could always do that one at a later date. Otherwise...I'd really go with the RFC. The night we had Boma's...we ate at the food court. And the service wasn't all that great either. JMO

I second that!! BOMA wins hands down. We've tried Rainforest a few times and have been very disappointed each time!

BOMA! RFC, is a chain restruant and isn't just overly special. I do like RFC, but they have really gone down hill in general since Landry's bought them out.

Definitely Boma. There are lots of RFCs around the country, only one Boma

I love Boma! Never done either of the RFCs at WDW, but we did eat at the one in Nashville a few years ago. It wasn't bad, but wasn't great either.

So, another vote for Boma.
