Rain Forest Cafe entrance to Animal Kingdom?

I’ve never been to WDW or AK before. I’m trying to envision and plan our arrival for AK day on March 28. I read that there is an entrance through the Rain Forest Café. We will be arriving via Uber and I’m wondering if we can get in a bit quicker by getting dropped off at the Café and entering there? Any tips or tricks for entering AK around 8:45am (9am opening)?

RFC is right next to the gate, the difference is that you can walk through the Cafe and go in that way. There's no different place for Uber to drop you off.

This, and I do not believe entering this way will get you in the park any earlier than opening time. You would just be held at that gate instead until opening. If you want to enter AK before official opening time you should secure a breakfast reservation at a restaurant inside the park (RFC is not inside the park).

The restaurant is right next to the park entrance. Just use the regular entrance.

We only bother with the RFC gate if the main gate is really, really backed up. Otherwise, it's not worth winding your way in that entrance.

Uber can only drop you off at the sidewalk at the entrance to Animal Kingdom. And by that I mean that you will get out of the car and go down the walkway towards the park. Rainforest Café entrance will be on the left about halfway down and Animal Kingdom entrance will be straight ahead. As a PP stated, using the Rainforest Café entrance can help when the regular turnstiles for Animal Kingdom are really crowded but it's not much of a time saver during normal hours.
