Rain forecasted every day of our trip, advice?

We leave Saturday to head to the most magical place on Earth and there is a 60 to 80 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms every single day... Trying not to worry and knowing I can't change the weather, what can I do to prepare myself and my group???

Looks like a deep tropical moisture flow for most of next week. I'd plan on at least daily rain/storms, but there should be breaks. Morning should be better than afternoon/evening for rain, so plan early park stuff. Do more indoor attractions while it's raining. You will be fine.

Embrace rain! Rain jacket, flip flops and Nike shorts. One of my favorite things to do is head into a park when others are coming out - you can hit a lot of rides.

Anyone who wears glasses needs a hat or visor. They also needs a lens cloth (those little white ones that seem to come with phones and every other electronic device) to dry off their glasses.

Quick dry clothes are awesome.

My family is split on sneakers -- some wear sneakers in the rain and pack a second pair so that there is always a dry pair to wear in the morning. Some refuse to deal with wearing wet socks, so it's sandals.

Figure out what you want to do about about rain gear. My youngest likes the cheapo trash bag ponchos, the one and done kind. My older kids like a real poncho. I hate it all and just get wet.

Figure out what you need to do about your phones (we have waterproof cases - -so it's not an issue) and camera. I carry two extra large plastic bags from the gift shop. One for my bag and camera bag, one to put anything wet in after the rain stops.

Do you have a stroller or wheelchair? We had an extra poncho to cover it. Assume that someone will move your stroller or wheelchair from the dry place you parked it to a place where it will get soaked.

Ignore the forecast, it's the default forecast this time of year and rarely accurate. Assume the potential for brief showers on occasion.

This.

Went two different weeks in August and one week in September. It was forecast to rain everyday. Rained maybe 3 or 4 times, all short showers. Drizzled at times, very lightly. I actually wished (in vain) it would rain some afternoons, it was so hot! :)

As for preparation, just get yourselves some ponchos and be sure to bring at least two pairs of shoes, in case you get stuck walking through the downpour and need dry shoes the next day.

Back in 2009, my parents took the whole family to WDW for their anniversary. For about the first 2 1/2 days...it rained. I don't mean the afternoon passing shower. It rained! Downpours. We were disappointed at first. But then realized we have to play the hand we're dealt. We all had ponchos, and wrapped our son's stroller in a couple different ponchos to keep him dry as well. Our feet got wet, and the kids actually enjoyed getting wet. But once we just accepted it, it was fantastic! Light crowds. Short lines. Not too many attractions closed in the rain. So we actually had a great time! Our last few days the weather turned out great. So just embrace it and go with the flow! If you don't let it slow you down, I'm guessing you'll still have a blast. Have fun!

This is really personal preference.. but I think sandals are 100% better than sneakers in the rain. Afternoon thunderstorms can bring heavy rain and my feet would have so many blisters if I walked around in soggy socks for the rest of the day. With sandals my feet dry within 20 minutes.

Ponchos can get hot and sticky, but it's hard to maneuver through a crowd with an umbrella.

The parks really do thin out a bit when rain comes, so grab a poncho or an umbrella and march forward!!

Rain has never dampened a Disney park day for us, ever :)

We disregard any rain forecasts at WDW. We usually bring ponchos and wear shoes that would be appropriate in a rain scenario.

Rain forecasts are rarely accurate. Just a few weeks ago we had a day with 80%chance and it rained exactly 0 times. Sometimes they say it won't rain and then it does.

Don't worry about it. You'll have fun either way.

Wow thanks guys!!! Not as stressed anymore, we already had ponchos ready to go, going to bring a second pair of sandals now

We are going next week and not even worried! Probably will have an afternoon thunderstorm which are fine b/c they break up the humidity. We got our umbrella and stroller rain cover ready! bring it on! lol (can you tell I really need a vacation?)

We will be there also! Bring a zip lock bag to put your phone in and one to put the wet poncho in after the shower. We had a lot of fun in the afternoon showers this summer. In fact, we usually ended our midday resort break when it first started to rain. many people were leaving the park as we entered. Have fun!

Daily rain in the forecast at Disney likely doesn't have the same meaning as you are thinking it means. The problem is if you try to compare that to the same forecast as home (unless you live in the south) you are misinterpreting the numbers.
Basically, in FL and other parts of the south in the summer (and yes today is fall but it's a summer weather pattern now down here) it's perfectly normal to see rain in the forecast everyday. But down here that rarely ever means rain all day. That means there is a chance a shower will pop up somewhere in the area at some point that day. For instance, it may rain in Epcot for 5 min and stay sunny at HS the whole time. So the forecast shows chance of rain and it's correct. You bring along something to cover up, umbrella or poncho, waterproof shoes and you just go on.

The rain has never been as bad as forecasted when we've been there. And when it does rain, some of the crowd leaves or takes a break and the lines might be shorter. There's the silver lining!

There is a framed photo hanging in my living room. It's a selfie of my family dripping wet in blue ponchos in front of Cinderella castle. It's one of my favorite photos because I love the parks in the rain! Wear flip flops and grab the appropriate gear, but in the end the most important thing is to just embrace being wet. I will say that I think our kids might have grumbled more if we parents didn't shrug off the rain and decide to enjoy it.

One point nobody mentioned is the long, freezing bus ride back to the resort after you're soaking wet. That can be miserable. I'm not sure if there's a good solution to that, though. Call an Uber? But then you'd just get their car wet?

Yep, that's the typical forecast from June - Oct in Central FL. Hot, humid, chance of storms every day. Generally, they're not hours-long downpours, but plan on dodging in and out of stores and fast-food places during a cloudburst.

I don't even bother with the ponchos anymore. I know i'm gonna get rained on at some point, and I know I'll dry off when the sun comes back out. :)
