rain covers

has anyone toured in light rain? did you use a stroller cover or individual ponchos or both? i'll have an infant & a toddler in a graco duo glider & was thinking of getting a rain cover - worth it?

we have a rain cover and I think it's brilliant - we (adults) wear ponchos and the baby is in the stroller with the rain cover and she is dry as a bone in there

Our 1st day it poured down rain & I didn't have rain covers. So, I drove the 30 minutes to Babies R Us and bought rain covers. It never rained again on our trip!

So, yeah, take them, that way since you're prepared, it won't rain

Rain covers vacation savers. When it rains at home you just don't go for a walk. At WDW you don't have that choice. DD didn't like it at 1st when she was 2 years old. Then she figured out she wasn't getting wet anymore and tolerated it well. It is better then a poncho because they can see though it.

They do make ones for double strollers. We got one for our SBS Peg Pergo.

I wouldn't go to WDW with out one. If all goes will you might not need it at al. Or it could save your whole trip. (nothing is worse then sitting in a wet stroller. )

Never used one at Disney, but have used it at other theme parks and it's a life saver! My stroller rain cover is collapsible and it folds into the shape of a circle.

Also keeps camera bag and other stuff dry IN the basket part too.
My daughter LOVED it, and we're definitely packing ours for Disney!

Anyone ever used the rain cover that comes with the Maclaren in Disney? I use it all the time at home in the rain and it keeps my daughter dry, but what about the top and back of the stroller (and the basket)? We live in DC so we generally walk places, so we do go out in the rain, but if it's really heavy then we just stay home so I don't have any experience using it in those cases. If it rained very hard in Disney I'd probably stay in the room too, but if it's not too bad then we'll go out. I'd just like to be sure the basket stays dry. We have a generic rain cover that I can bring since it's bigger than the Maclaren's, but I wasn't sure if it would fit well.

stuff in the basket will get wet from water splashing up from the ground, but if you have your stuff in a bag then it should be fine.

When we had a bunch of rain a couple years ago (little DD was 8 months old) I carried her in her front carrier facing out. I wore a rain jacket, open in front for her. Carried an umbrella and when it got cold/windy I put a blanket across the front of her carrier and tucked it into the sides between the carrier and me. She stayed dry and snug.

yes yes yesssss its totally worth it. And learn from us: cover the stroller when its left out in the open. We went on a ride and came out to find it pouring and our stroller soaked.

OK..glad to have reassurances. i'll definitely get a cover for the stroller. i might also get a small poncho for the 2+yr. old & protect the infant in my body carrier by using a poncho for both of us w/ an umbrella overhead. so much to pack..what i forget, i guess i can always buy.

Definately recommend bringing it. We also have an infant and toddler and have a double stroller. When my toddler was 16 mos. and we went in June one year I could have sold mine for $50 that is how desperate some people were to have them.
