Very little closes unless it's extremely heavy rain, and even then unless there is lightning involved everything goes on as normal. The only rides that would close in that case would be Test Track, Splash, Big Thunder, etc.
Don't worry about the rain. I've been there when it's rained for a week straight and still had a great time. If anything, it keeps the crowds away making it even more enjoyable.
What's your forecast? There's all different degrees of rain. For example, late summer it rains pretty much every day - but not necessarily for very long, and not necessarily everywhere at the same time (my August 2005 trip being the exception, when it rained for hours a few days in a row, no matter where I went - I think the clouds were attracted to me!)
I can attest to that. People will pour out of the parks faster than the rain coming down when it starts raining. Just stick it out for a bit and enjoy the reduced crowd size
We have walked through World Showcase while wading 8 inches of water in a downpour so heavy you could not see the other side of the lagoon, very little shut down, except for the buses trying to move everybody out, and they just backed up.
