Hey everyone,

I have a question that I hope you can help me with. My DF and I are trying to decide where to book our ceremony. We love the YC Gazebo but are concerned firstly about the weather (we had hoped for an early ceremony, about 10am in August) as we are in the UK and not too sure about weather patterns in the USA, and secondly, if it did rain, where would we be relocated? We're unsure at the moment whether to play it safe and book the Pavillion instead.

Thank you! :)

In August, you can look at the forecast and it will say chance of thunderstorms/rain everyday. However it usually only lasts for a very short time and occur in the afternoon. There are days that it rains all day, but don't be detered by the forecasts.

As for re-location, I'm not sure where you would be relocated to. The YC is a convention hotel, so they may move you to one of those rooms inside.

I had a YC ceremony and did not like the convention rooms at the YC. I asked to have ariels for my rain out location and my EM changed it! There are other location available such as the attic in the Boardwalk - check with your sales manager!

I have a question to add... does anyone know what the rain locations are for the Epcot dessert parties?

Thanks for that - we've a long way to go yet but we're checking all possibilities that may hinder us on the day :)

Thank you very much - I'll be sure to do that. The last time I was in America was in 1986 and I remember short, heavy showers, but I didn't know if the weather is as changeable as it is here lately. :)

One bride had her party moved indoors in Norway, but they all went out to see Illuminations with umbrellas - sounds like it takes a lot for them to cancel the fireworks display.

It also depends on where your reception location is! If its been raining for a while and they cancel it before you go to a DP they can try and keep you in your reception location.
