I just asked about this a few days ago. Plaids said that the DL VQ does "expire" (one hour to return after you are called back). However, the final decision is up to the CMs at the ride queue. They will decided whether or not to honor your VQ. The Plaids said this was the same MO when ROTR had a VQ.I know at WDW the VQ does not expire and I believe when Rise had VQ it did not expire.
Anyone have experience with this?
Didn't the RotR boarding passes disappear after an hour? I remember the CMs telling us to screenshot them because of this since we were using a DAS in conjunction with the VQ.
I can’t remember but yes, I do recall that the time I was late I had screenshotted the boarding passes to be sure and might have used those.
The rise situation was complicated because it broke down so much, including sometimes after your BG was called. Not sure if MMRR will work the same.
Similarly, if you get into the 7 a.m. queue, but based on the boarding group number you're going to be on Main Street or in DCA at that projected time and you don't want to make a long walk, can you cancel it? And if so, are you allowed to try again at 1 p.m. and hope for a more convenient time?
You should be able to if you haven’t ridden yet and the back of the window has expired. I accidentally found this out at Epcot a couple of weeks ago with guardians. No you can't cancel it and you also can't try again if you already got one.

3 weeks ago when I was at WDW I had an unused 7am BG and I didn’t arrive at epcot until 3pm and I managed to grab another group, only one ended up being usable. But they don’t enforce the back end of the bg window. You can try again at 1pm?
