Raid Max Bug Barrier Starter Spray with Auto Trigger

I brought a bottle to spray around the house outside. When I spray, it comes out in a stream not a mist or spray. Do I just spray a line of it around the bottom of the siding? I was expecting a mist so I could cover under the siding of the house and some of the siding itself.

It's supposed to be a stream, and I love this stuff! I use it along the floor edge in the garage, where the wall meets the floor, all along the perimeter. It helps cut down on the bugs in there (and our unfinished area of the basement).

I only wish Raid would give some instructions on how to fix the auto trigger when it stops working. New battery's installed. Makes the noise but nothing comes out.
