We are looking forward to going here on our upcoming trip.
The videos we've watched looks like this could be loud and somewhat chaotic.
Wondering if it loud, or very loud and hard to talk to the people at the table.

Thanks

It can be, sort of depends on the time of day and where you are seated. There is definitely a possibility that you end up feeling like you're in a loud, crowded pub. We've gotten there early enough that there weren't performances and it was like a slightly noisy restaurant, and we've gone during performances and basically had no conversation without leaning in and shouting into ears.

Never been there at night as it became our relatively peaceful retreat while afternoon shopping. Never made a reservation just walked in. I recall it was cool and filled with midday shade just the way you’d expect a bar to be. The outdoor patio was more lively and often performers played there.

I can’t vouch for anything beyond lunchtime on weekdays, non-heavy times of year, but we’ve done that about 10 times over the last couple years and it’s always been very manageable (by WDW standards). Usually open seats at the bar, little or no wait for a table inside, not too noisy. One of the bartenders told me that’s typical for any time before 3 on a weekday.

DW and I discovered Raglan more or less by accident many years ago. We wanted an ADR for our arrival day when we usually just do a little start of trip souvenir shopping and liked their menu the best. We have gone back every single trip since then. DW gets the same 2-3 dishes because she likes them so much and rotates. I personally don't think I have ever gotten the same thing twice because I always want to try something new, and I have never had something that I wouldn't order again, I just keep trying new things.

Anyway, we have been seated in the main dining room and off in one of the side areas during dinner when there are performances. The main dining room is definitely going to be loud, but if you are in the side area it's not too bad. The nice thing about being in that area (for us it was back and to the left if you are standing in the entrance looking into the restaurant) is that the dancers will still come through the restaurant so you get to enjoy a bit of the performance but still have an easier time talking. We have a great picture of them posing with DD when she was about 2 years old. That has been our experience at dinner.

On our last trip, due to staying at a new hotel and wanting to try one of the restaurants there, we made our Raglan reservation for lunch. It was far quieter without the performers and much less busy, but the food was still great. We just started planning our next trip for March 2025 and are looking forward to going back. Enjoy!

We love RR, visit at least once on every trip, and don’t find it to be overly noisy. We enjoy the entertainers and there is good interaction with the guests. It can be quite lively, but I don’t find conversation to be difficult. For certain lunchtime is much quieter with virtually the same menu.

Never been at night but we were just there for lunch a month ago and it was very quiet. There is a rather large bar and I can imagine that might get louder in the evening time. We very much enjoyed the food and IMO its one of the more underrated spots on property.

It definitely can be loud, depending on where you're seated. In the main room, I had to communicate with the server via pointing to the menu ... but the band was so good it was well worth it. If the goal of your meal is a deep conversation, I'd suggest another spot. That said, when you check in you can request to be seated further away from the live entertainment.

We went last month for dinner and it was quite loud. We were disappointed to be seated in the first booth off the entrance. No view of show, people waiting for reservation standing right next to us. Frankly, it sucked. Food was ok but not like we remembered for a decade or so ago.

Really enjoy Raglan Road, but if noise is a concern it might not be your thing.
