DH & I have ADRs at Raglan Road during our next trip. I wanted to try somewhere that we had never been, and this place looked like fun. Now I am having second thoughts. Can anyone who has been to Raglan Road share your opinions? Thanks!

After our trip last year, Raglan Road is a MUST DO for my DH and I. The nightly entertainment is great and the food is terrific. You'll have lots of fun.

I took my mom there on Mother's Day, and even though I was worried too because I read some bad reviews, I really enjoyed it! The atmosphere is cool, and our server was excellent. My mom got the fish & chips, which she loved and said wasn't too greasy.. very fresh tasting. I had Kevin's Heavenly ham, which was indeed heavenly. VERY sweet and juicy, I would get it again in a heartbeat. Mom and I each had a couple drinks (Dubliner-- very good), so we didn't have room for dessert unfortunately.

As good as I think it is to real reviews on the DIS, sometimes I forget that people are different and obviously have different temperaments. I try not to let negative reviews keep me away from places I want to try. We will definitely head back to RR next time we're in WDW

I read SkellingtonFreak's review of it and made a last-minute ADR. I'm glad I did because we ended up meeting up with one of my friends who was living down there and it was a great spot for that! We were seated far away from the entertainment but it was loud enough that we could still hear it. I got the Tomato Gin soup which was amazing, followed by the Goat's Town which I am still craving, and the bread pudding dessert! They were all awesome and I can't wait to return. Here are some photos (sorry they are bad quality).

Raglan Road is one of the better dining options in the DTD area. We have not yet (knock on wood) had a bad meal there, in over 10 visits. We are going back again this Fall. Plenty of Raglan Road reviews on the Review Board, and the majority of them are positive.

Is the cheese coated and fried? It looks wonderful; kinda like a giant fried mozzarela stick.

LOVED Raglan Road. Fish & chips are wonderful! Even better than Rose and Crown, IMO.

I'm trying to make it a destination on the Girls Only trip, but I don't know that we can squeeze it in.

Thanks for all the replies! Glad to hear that you like the food & atmosphere. I'll keep our ADRs.....it's fun to try new places!

We loved it when we were there two weeks ago. In fact, our table was front and center of the stage - no one in front of us. I was amazed we could actually still speak to each other and hear our server who was awesome. My kids loved the music and the dancer!

Raglan road is a great place for dinner. Mom and I tried it a few years ago just because it was late and we were hungry. Now its a must do! I can't remember what either of us ate but we have tried new things each time. Everytime was wonderful! Good luck, and happy eating.

We went to Raglan Road 2 weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the music, and the atmosphere. Our server was excellent, too. My husband had the "It's Not Bleeding Chowder" and proclaimed it his second favorite dish of the week. We shared the scallop forest (yum!), and I had the sirloin (I believe that was the cut) with crispy onion strings. Everything was delicious! We also had a beer flight and an Irish whiskey flight. The crumble that we had for dessert was also excellent.

We're very glad that we went to DTD to try this restaurant! Hope you are too!

My husband and I love the food there. We go everytime we travel to Disney....of all the restuarants there, it is our must do. We traveled with our friends back in March, and they loved it too. I don't think you will be disappointed

Two thumbs up for RR - I make ADRs for RR on the first night I arrive in the World on every trip. Great way to start my vacation!

We ate there last summer and loved it. Everything we ate was excellent but we were not able to see the dancer as we were too early in the day. Will do again in a moment!

I LOVE Raglan Road. We've only ate there once and it was amazing. I'm in love with Irish guys and their accents so my mom embarrassed me and asked where all the cute irish guys were. Turns out only the manager is actually Irish and he came over and talked to me and spoke some gaelic. It was pretty awesome.

We were going to go again in January but our dining plan didn't start until a day into the trip because of a promotion. We had to skip RR since it was too expensive to eat OOP.

Me too! Did you happen to meet Eddie the bartender at Rose and Crown? He's gone now but, OH MY GOD

As for being expensive, I think most of the same things are on the lunch menu but aren't as much money!

I must say I think that was our best meal in June! My DH had the steak - awesome. The kids had the chicken strips(called something fancy) but goood and I had the Not Bleedin Chowder!!!! I dream about this. i would have licked the bowl. Now for dessert - chocolate trio (called something else) yum and the bread pudding so rich it is one of the 7 sins!

We didn't get to see the entertainment since we were too early, but can't wait to go back!

Have fun:goodvibes

I love that all of the comments on here about RR have been positive. Now I am getting excited & am glad that we have ADRs there!

Thanks, everyone!

We just ate their last week. Ran over to meet my sister and her family for dinner. It was awesome! Best shepherds pie I've ever had and my husband is English, so I've had it made by a lot of different people. Everyone else liked their meals, too, which included the steak, the salmon, and the chicken pie. Desserts were yummy too. Our server was great. My sister was on the dining plan and was paying OOP for us. The waiter was great and put the most expensive meals on the dining plan, leaving the cheaper ones for OOP. We were there early, so I didn't experience the entertainment. I loved this place so much I'm trying to figure out how to fit it in to my October trip, but I think I will have to settle for their counter service and hope it is as good.
