Raglan Road - YUM!

Thanks for the great review. Planning on eating there in April and good to hear our DDE or AP's will be accepted by then!!! One reason we didn't eat there in November. Hoping that "boycotting" would encourage them to include it. The CM that I talked to about our ADR's said she'd make a note of it, since it would be good to tell them why people changed from eating there to somewhere else, which is what I did.

DH said that we're eating there in April though whether they accept them or not, since we were looking forward to it.

Yes, it is :-)

I think I'll surprise DH & DS with a PS at Raglan Road. I'm sure they both will like it except that DS will only be 20 and won't be able to sample the beer! :drinking1

DD & I will be enjoying an evening at Raglan Road in February. So happy to hear such good reviews!

Do you need ADR's for Ragalan Road? I thought since it really wasn't a Disney restaurant we coudn't make them.

We were there at the end of November 2005 (and we had made an ADR) and loved it. I was celebrating my 50th birthday with my family and doing something special with each of my kids. So on this evening, I had dinner with my 24-year-old son, Dan. He enjoys trying different beers and was very pleased with the selection (although I can't now recall what he had). We had the Guinness-glazed ribs as our appetizer and they were outstanding. Very, very good. He ordered the burger and said it was the best burger he'd ever had (I had the Rising Road cabbage and potato souffle which was good but not as much cabbage as I would have liked...). We had the Dunbrody Kiss dessert which is an intense chocolate experience and we both loved it.

My son still raves about it and we are definitely planning to go back next time we're in WDW.

OP here -

We ended up going back a second time during our stay since we liked it so much. It was after we had been to the 6:00 Cirque show on Wednesday Jan. 4, and we wandered up at about 8:00 without an ADR. It was only hubby and I this time, and we were seated right away at a 2 top in the main dining room. We tried again for the DDE discount, and this time the waitress saw the card sitting on the table and applied the discount before we even had a chance to ask!

Food was outstanding again, as was the service. I wasn't very hungry, so I just had a bowl of the Colpuccino soup. Hubby had the One & One (fish & chips).

There was a guy there playing keyboard and leading the crowd in Irish pub songs (and it's no, nae, never, (clap clap clap clap) no nae never no more...) while we were eating. As we were finishing, the band was setting up. Since we're not drinkers, we ordered some coffee and stayed for awhile to listen. They were great. The house dancer got up on the dance table a couple of times while we were there, too.

All around, another great experience. I would absolutely recommend it.

NMW: I was told by a few sources that, "NO" Raglan is NOT part of the Dining Plan.... Maybe they will become part of the plan as time goes on though.

Ragland Road sounds great!! What are Clear Channel Gift certificates?
This was a limited offer that was made by a radio station a couple of months ago - they were selling certificates good for $50 off your Raglan Road bill for $25, but they sold out ages ago - sorry.

Thanks for the review. We'll be eating there in a week and an hour! We also have one of the Clear Channel certificates, but i wonder if we can use our DDE on the balance? Oh, well, I'll just ask when we get there...no big deal if we can't.

No, at this time, Raglan Road is NOT part of the Dining Plan.

The dining plan I saw showed it, and it was supposed to be a part of the plan for this year.

They also should be accepting DDE and cast member discounts.

Thanks for the positive review, now I'm really looking forward to eating here in February! :cool1:

I took a look at the menu and it seems wonderful. Mussels are one of my
favorite to eat. I have plenty of time to make adr choices before my
september trip. I might add this one to my list! Looks like you had a wonderful time! Thanks for the review.
