I currently have a dinner reservation for Kouzzina this June. I LOVE the food network and have eaten at a celebrity chef's restaurant before in NYC so I'm interested in trying Cat Cora's. I have been looking at the menu for Raglan Road, however, and it seems very tempting. I've also heard that it is very good and very underrated. So what do you think? I know these restaurants are from two different ends of the spectrum, but if you had to choose one to dine at, which would it be and why?

Haven't had Kouzzina's yet but Ragland Rd is a fun time. Great food, great atmosphere and, of course, great beer!

I am a fan of the Food Network, too, but I've read through Kouzzina's menu, and it doesn't appeal to me at all.

Raglan Road, however, is a great Irish pub with live music and a stepdancer every evening (except Sunday) starting around 8PM. Haven't eaten an entree yet, but the appetizers, desserts, and drinks are great.

I voted Raglan Road since we have eaten there, enjoyed it and are returning in August. We haven't tried Kouzzina but have a reservation for there as well so we shall see. There are several things on the menu that look good to me, especially for dessert.

another vote for kouzzina!
my bf and i loved kouzzina in January so we will be going back in May :) we've never been to raglan road but have an ADR for there in May as well so we'll see!

We ate at Kouzzina for the first time this past December and really enjoyed it. We have been eating at Raglan Road on every trip since it opened. In fact it is our favorite place to dine at DD.

We had dinner at both places last week. Although we liked Kouzinna (especially the fried cheese), it still feels like an experiment in process. The dishes there are not seasoned for most American palates (we were fine with them) -- it would be better if you are open to eating adventures. The fish stew is aggressively spicy, as is the lamb burger.

Raglan Road, on the other hand, has an established vibe. I had the best dish of the trip there -- the "Ain't No Bleeding Chowder" was amazing. Perfect match of seasoning and ingredients, with some flair to it. My wife also enjoyed her chicken pot pie, for similar reasons.

Only eaten at Raglan Rd of the two but we loved it and ate there again later in
the trip.

My steak was excellent (preferred it to le cellier) and DH enjoyed the mixed grill.

The bread pudding was fabulous - best dessert of the trip.

The children's meals were excellent - DD's fish and chips was just a smaller version of the adult meal.

Never having eaten at RR, I can't vote on this pole. The wife and I had a wonderful breakfast at Kouzzinas and have been dismayed to see it getting slagged in many user reviews. However, I got the impression the place hadn't really seen too much of Chef Cora's influence. Couldn't say why.

We haven't eaten at Raglan yet BUT we ate at Kouzinna last trip and now it is one of our favorites. :thumbsup2

I vote for Raglan Road. I haven't eaten at Kouzzina (probably will not on my next trip either as the menu does not appeal to me) but we ate at Raglan Road last August and we really enjoyed it. We will be eating there again on our upcoming trip in September.

I appreciate everyone's input, it definitely has me thinking of adding Raglan Road to my list of ADRs for my upcoming trip! Thanks!

We've tried both. We haven't hurried back to either location. DW seemed to like Kouzinna more than I did, so I guess if we were to repeat, we'd return to Kouzinna :earsboy:
