Raglan Road Update

Have ADR for next Friday (10/21) 6:00pm, can't wait. Hope to see you Don.

Anyone have info on kids menu?

DD and I just returned from dinner at Ragland Road. I was wonderful. We started out with the ribs for an appetizer. Goofyfreek was right. They were wonderful. I had Kevin's Kudos. It was a pork loin with potatos and cabbage. It was excellant. DD had the shepard's pie. She finished the entire thing. That is very unusual for her! For desert, we shared warm bread pudding with hot vanilla and carmel sauce. I am absolutely miserable!!, but in a good way.

I can only think of one thing that would make the place better. They need to play more traditional Irish music and get away from the stuff that you hear constantly on the radio. The entire time we were there, we heard two Irish tunes. We love Celtic music and would like to have heard more.

Here are some pictures...

This is actually a platform with stairs leading up. They plan to have Irish step dancers perform there eventually.

Thanks Feralpeg for the great pictures. I can't wait to go. I will be there on our last night, Feb 10th, with my best gal pal and her boyfriend. Hope to see Don as well. The funny thing is that my girlfriend and I both have the same name, Deirdre. However, I have the red hair. Now if that isn't Irish, I don't know what is.

To add about the music. It will start with the official opening. They have 3 bands planned for the opening night and 20 Irish Step dancers. Then they will have atleast 1 band a night and dancers everynight from there on.

It looks great, congrats to Don and hope to see you in 27 days!

Those are wonderful pics, Feralpeg! Thanks for posting them. :goodvibes

Sounds terrific. I can't wait. One of the hostesses was trying to talk DD into applying for a job when she turns 18 in March. DD is starting Irish step dancing lessons. They said they would pull staff members up to dance on a regular basis as well.

By the way, Ragland Road will not be accepting the AP holder/Florida Disney Dining Experience card.

Oh, no! I thought I read RR would take it! Bummer. :(

BTW, why is this thread still under the Theme Parks & Strategies board? I keep expecting a moderator to move it to the Restaurants board. :confused3

I tried using it tonight and they said they would not be accepting it because they are not a Disney restaurant.

Well, Wolfgang Puck Cafe is not a Disney restaurant either and it participates. It is a matter of whether they have reached an agreement with Disney to offer that discount. Now I'm not sure I'll keep the ADR. We'll be spending so much money on food for this upcoming trip I'm trying to maximize the value of our DDE. All the other restaurants on my list takes the DDE. Really bummed at the news.

Who knows? I gave my card to the server tonight. She took it back and talked to a guy who looked like a manager. She came back and told me they would not be taking it. Maybe they didn't know. The place has only been open two days. I have to cut the a little slack. We can hope they were wrong.

Is that REALLY Elijah Wood?

The main manager said they would be taking DDE once they offically open. But as of right now they where not during the "SNEAK PEAK". But I did hear him telling others about it. I didnt pay much attention cause we dont have DDE.

That will help people make up their minds if they can eat there(DDE& Dining Plan info). I'm hoping the 1 credit on the dining plan is right. I get scared when some of the dining info isn't right. As we all know it would not be the first time CM's at Disney Dining were let just say "confused" about info they give out.
